I don't know if anyone else has posted this or not but I haven't seen it before.

I really want to know how they are going to go about this. Are they going to make it fully 3D or do like LOTR did; what story are they going to use, are they going to start out with how the orcs came or what?

I can only hope They will follow WC3's storyline (Not the Frozen throne mind you, Although that had a great ending cutscene....) because showing arthas start murding a town to prevent it from turning into Zombies would be awesome. Sean Connery As Uther.

I always hoped they would make a movie like this. That was until 3 came out and it became a way more plot intensive game.

Then after playing W3 I played Starcraft again and said "I want this on the fucking big screen".

Starcraft Movie would be better, I hate to say. But a Diablo Movie would suck outright.

Naw, they'll no doubt do the whole thing in or around World of Warcraft, Machinima style. Because WoW is such a massive cash cow that they can't leave it alone.

The film centers around the Dwarven Paladin N0bzgw4d and his guild, I_< 3_ICECREAMS on their epic quest to slay the demigod of the night elves, Cenarius. For some reason. They're charged with an ancient quest or some shit.

But their quest is ill fated, as infighting breaks out as N0bzgw4d's valor helm is finally dropped. N0bzgw4d calls dibs but he rolls a six and in his fury, pulls a mighty agro and rends the group assunder.

It will, of course, be released just before a new expansion where you get to run that particular instance. And yeah.. you can get a WoW combo which comes with a free 14 day trial disc.

I believe starcraft would make a better movie, seeing how it has much more of a story on here, I mean, WoW bassicly counts as the warcraft movie with the story and stuff.

And Ill be damned if Im not the only one here who would love seeing a zerg rush on the big screen.

I bet people would be comparing it to Starship Troopers if that happened. Especially if there was no Protoss..

And if it did have Protoss fighting with the marines then the movie would be suprisingly similiar to the Halo .

So that begs the question. Starship troopers + Halo = good thing?

Of course it would probably be called a Starcraft rip-off by Blizzard fans if it used Tyranids/Eldar/Tau.

Rogue Trader was 87. But I really could not care less about the races in Starcraft being similar to the races in 40K, because Starcraft is more fun, IMO.

Yea, beacuse if a space game has humans AND aliens, its OBVIOUSLY going to be a ripoff of another space genre game.

Starcraft was a much more enjoyable game then DoW (opinion, I know) But it did seem that wintassault acted a bit like starcraft 2.

But thats off topic, a warcraft movie would be ok, I guess, but its going to be difficult to make seeing how they cant permenatly kill off a character.

Except it is. The comparison between Terrans/Marines is undeniable, especially since the Marines refer to Earth as "Holy Terra". The Zerg are just like the bio-engineered Tyranids. The Protoss are very much like the Eldar in attitude and technology, but have the visual look of the Tau.

Starcraft is a ripoff. Especially since the story apparently goes that Games Workshop pulled out a game agreement which became Starcraft.

Opinion, agreed. On the other hand, in the discussion of a movie, how enjoyable the games were has little to do with it. Warhammer 40,000, by the way, is first a tabletop game spanning over a dozen armies before it's a PC game.

I belive the movie(if it is made) will be about the story from Warcraft 1 to 3 + Frozen Throne. Making a movie from WoW would be suicide seeing how little story there is in WoW in itself compared to the previous games and books. The story is quite deep.

How cool would it be to see the orcs/taurens/trolls, humans and nightelves fighting together to protect the world tree from Archimonde?

Blizzard Announced it as well. (http://www.blizzard.com/press/060509.shtml). Blizzard has not disappointed me yet so I have faith in them.

Making movies out of games lately have been the new "in" thing. Did you know they made one out of Blood Raven... Anyways....

I think they should start with how the Orc's came, with Medivh and everything. Maybe if they can have the Orc's free themselves of the deamons and start to become independent.

Then create a second movie on the scourge and etc...

I think they shoulded trail too far off from the game or else they might horribly ruin it.

The only way this will succeed is to follow a story like WC3. IE: One where the alliance and horde start out as enemies, but become allies in the battle against a common enemy. I would suggest creating a SL that revolves around the Opening of the gates of AQ.
