As some of the less-annoying people here may know, I work at the CVS in Budd Lake, New Jersey. We're not a big store. We're not a small store either. But we are a hell of a lot of fun to work with because the managers amazingly do not suck (in fact they do most of the physical labor).

But today... today was quite an adventure...

I stroll in around 4, ready for a mundane night of "hi how are you do you have a CVS card your total is 5.34" and then alot of downtime in between. The first hour went smoothly. Then around 5, a man who, at the time, we thought was drunk strolled in. We let him shop for a while, but after he was there for an hour we decided to call the police. They show up just as he's about to finally check out, and escort him out. Within the next few minutes we start looking through his cart. OH LOOK AT THAT a shit ton of things that can be used to make crystal meth. Apparently the guy wasn't drunk, he was tweaking on meth. Great.

Next, someone tangled all the wind chimes we have together to make a string. WHY I have no idea, HOWEVER this wasn't an accident, they tied them together with a keen amount of precision.

The next hilarious incident came when we ended up locking down all three registers for 10 minutes because for some reason it wasn't letting this poor woman get a refund. It would always say something along the lines of "Money card for refund only" and we'd just pass her off to the next register and wait for the manager to show up to fix what we did. The fun part is that 30 people decided to check out in a store that's not very big at all, and we couldn't help a single one of them.

AFTER THAT! A guy came in who used to work there and was fired for sexual harrassment and was banned from the store, but he had to get his prescription, so I had to escort him to the back.

At around 7 I got the most frustrating job I've ever had to do. Take backing off of red sticky ribbon. You'd think that this would be easy, right? Wrong. Even though the glue isn't that sticky, the backing would not fucking come off at all, mostly because I simply could not get a grip on it.
JUST THEN, THE SOLICITING STARTED. At 8 a Japanese man that goes to Centenary College walked in and tried to sell the photo tech some jewlery. Around 9:48 some Jehova's Witnesses came in and OH SHIT! I forgot to take the books they handed me :(. But yeah, they came in and gave me two books about "The Kingdom of Jehova" or whatever.

And that, my friends, is the single most eventful day in my history of being a cashier.

Wow good call on the meth guy.

And I'd like an interesting day like that, but I work at Lackluster Video. The closest I'll get to meth junkie is some jamacian guy who smells like pot.
