Pointless Challenge With No Reward 2009

A while back I made a thread like this to see if you guys could reach a certain level of points on Xbox Live. Well I am here to do it again.

By the end of the year I want to see if you guys can get at least 30,000 more points than you have at this moment in time. No reward for doing so, no punishment for failing to reach the amount. Just a gentlemen's bet to see who can do this.

And for people with Gears Of War 2, Seriously 2.0 by December 31st.

* IF PEOPLE REACH THE 30,000 goal way before December I will increase the amount of points.

Another 30,000 points? Yowza. Where do you get so much time to play games, Sarge? XD You have the biggest list of played games and biggest gamerscore of anyone I know on Live.


I seriously doubt I'll be able to pull this off with my schedule, but I'll certainly try. I guess I can start by occasionally playing the 360 games I beat in the past on my brother's system so that I can start getting the points for my own profile. Stuff like beating Halo 3 on Legendary or Gears 1 on Insane. I've done it before but I don't have the points for it on my profile.

A friend wanted to play Gears 1 with me so I bought it used yesterday. Unfortunately you have to go through the game on Hardcore first, so no jumping right into Insane mode for me. :/

Also, I have to go through the entire game once more with Dom for another achievement? What?

Well, I've probably managed to get around 1500 points so far this month, which is pretty good for me.

I seriously doubt I'll make 30000 for the year, but if anything, my gamerscore total should be much more fat and happy by year's end.

Sarge. I'm convinced that you're a robot that has the ability to play your games even while asleep or at work. Like you leave your robot hands detached so they can just rack up tons of achievement points.

Some of the games in your game list sound like games you'd never touch with a 10-foot-pole, and you even have perfect scores for those too.


EDIT: Oh, and since the start of the year, my score has gone up roughly 3,500 points. I may be able to pull this off after all.

Well, since the start of this, I've added roughly 6000 points to my gamerscore.

I need to go back and add them all up to get an exact amount, though.



Almost 2000 of those points I attribute to the lovely Resident Evil 5 and Dead Space. Oh, how I loved those games.

Oh, and fuck the Seriously 2.0 achievement. I don't have the time nor patience for that. Seriously.

Earn 10k points in a week... play 10 sports games. Most of them hand out achievements like candy and have zero time sinks. NBA 2k6 gives you 250 points for scoring 40 points in a single player game... <_<;

I'm surprised that this game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv-kv4QJnV8) wasn't on there, as I'm pretty sure there will never be a game in history that'll ever have easier achievements than this.

I was tempted to rent this until some of my friends threatened that they would never play with or talk to me again if they ever saw this game pop up in my game list. XD
