Just me, wondering if anyone here plays the best RPG ever: Neverwinter Nights. If so, do you have any particular server?

I do! I personally use Influence inc's Zhentils keep.
Anyone else use PRC?

I have no real preference for servers, I just tend to join either Centra (At least I used to, its been taken over by hackers and leet-kiddies now), or hang around Maximus being bored. Knowing no european people who play sucks, but there it is.

Well, I play on the Wheel of Time: The Third Age PW, and as you can tell from my forum title, I have a special role there. I have been on this server a YEAR AND A HALF, and only recently have I been deemed worthy of being a secondary DM...
It is a great server, though. Average number of players is around 35 on at any one time, and we have had nearly 50 at peak hours. It is a RP-based server, local-vault, with no ILR. The DMs are great, the rules clear, and the player base is quite friendly.
It is based on Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" fantasy series. Swing on by sometime, and you might just enjoy it.

Oh, HotU is god. raising the level cap to 40, epic characters, the unbelievably funky new spells.. And thats not even mentioning the crafting skills, the ability to dye your armour to make yourself look cooler, the plot that doesnt suck, and the feeling of hero-worship you get from pretty much every NPC you meet.
My level 40 Pale Master is become a god.

Pale Masters are fun, yes, but there is one kind of build that will conquer all: Sorc/PaleMaster/ShadowDancer. Can you imagine... the immunties of a PM, the spellcasting of a Sorc, and being able to disappear from sight at nearly any time? It is amazing. The only thing you really have to fear are certain cleric builds, and really good mages.
Oh, and a second server that I would recomend is in Arena catagory, Server name: Antiworld. It is an amazing and intense capture-the-flag experiance.

That wouldn't actually be very good, you would have level 20 spellcasting and no epic spells. The pale master really isn't all it's cracked up to be. Now, shadow adepts/liches/archmages... :fanboy: . You have to have the PRC to use them, though.

Well, Pale Master gets Hellball, greater ruin, that weird epic mage-armour one, and about 5 Epic summons, aside from the minor army of summons he can use anyway.. plus he looks cool.
What's a PRC, anyway?

I used to play NWN religiously on a roleplay server called Anphillia, ad I hope to start playing again as soon as I get my shiny new Hard Drive.

Can you please tell me the website for this server so I can see what its all about? I'm asking again since you seemed to have missed my plea above

Sorry, my bad.
The forum's main page is http://nwn.bioware.com/guilds_registry/viewforum.html?forum=8879&gid=5336
It isn't a standard D&D setting, so it may seem a bit odd at first... but heck, it is my home sweet home.

Bump because I want to post in a thread that already exists rather than making a new one.
I played about six months ago online on a server. I can't remember the name but I remember that the mod's name was "Path of Ascension". I think I got it up to level 35. The build I think was was 24 Fighter/ 1 Sorceror/ 10 Red Dragon Disciple. It was pretty silly, because there was alot of good stuff on the server (a dagger that could cast Harm when it hit) and I had some of the good gear.

I play this and it's likely impossible to find anything decent online.
Most DM quests are rather boring and dull, the players are rather stupid and there's hardly anything impressive over the offline game...
...then again, it's all about looking for anything decent, but it's a problematic thing to find.

I used to play on the Persistant-World server The Lands of Arda, which was a fairly decent LOTR world. I quit when it started using those two expansions.

Pale Master doesn't get any of those, those are epic feats. Any arcane caster can get them.

Mmmm, yes NWN i was getting into that game, made a character and everything, then the game crashed. Played it again, the game crashed, saved my character though. Time to time I play it and am reminded of why I had previously stopped. It is a fun game, it just doesn't agree with my computer. If I really really wanted to I could fix it, but.... I'm lazy as hell.

In a matter of half a year, NwN 2 shall see the light of the world and crush WoW, hopefully.

The PRC is a REALLY cool hak that adds classes, races, feats, skills, prestige classes, spells, a new epic spell system, and all kinds of wonderful dealies. Here's the website: http://nwnprc.netgamers.co.uk/index.html (http://)

I downloaded a demo of this yesterday. I finished jade Empire the day before and was curious to see what else BioWare had to offer (their offices are located right here in Edmonton http://forum.vgcats.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
It was only a demo but it played out very well. The graphics were kind of bad, but that could be because of the games age. Still I definatly want to pick it up sometime. Maybe I'll get the Platinum version with the two expansions.

Oh yeah, I forgot about NWN 2. But still, I could get the first one for pretty cheap since it is older. All depends on the cost.

I know what ya mean. Got nwn collection a month ago and messed around with it. Created couple of new races and so on.
Just awesomeness....
See if you can do that! Yes you, you know who you are WoW !
I love nwn for its creativity and unlimited things. Without this, WoW wont exist.
Being a DM in online can be so fun, especially torturing players with waves of monsters after another...
