Okay, okay, this was a rough plan for the first of a new series for me. Please don't complain about the size (i just scanned it, and haven't had time to edit it). I also plan on, for final versions, typing text. I just wrote it in there for example.

I do rather like the shirt my charecter is wearing. It makes me feel sexier then I really am.
Ok, guys, now that you've seen it, tell me what needs work. I'm always happy to take critiques.

Well, after screaming at the title for seven consecutive minutes, I finally got over the shock and clicked it. I honestly have to hope that this is a joke. A very, very untasteful joke.
...For the love of all things good in the world, tell me that this is a joke.

Well, it depends on what you define as a joke...
In truth, it isn't very good. I plan on making the finished version a hell of a lot better. Also, the title's kinda just a codename. I'll come up with something better, honest!

This is gonna sound kinda mean, but honestly, this is in your own best interst. If you're planning something better, you should probably show us that instead. If you know something sucks, and you're going to post that, don't expect heaping praise. Because as you said, this isn't very good.

Yes, yes, honestly yes. What i should have said in the first post is for you guys to tell me what needs work.
this sucks
Oh, yes, I REALLY need YOU to tell me something I've already established. Thank you for not contributing to the thread at all. Aren't you swell?

Wait, so if you know it's horrible, why are you showing it?

want to know what's wrong with it? for starters
- awful art
- I can barely even read the writing
- not very funny once I deciphered it
- going for a niche market that only really cares if you can draw their precious catgirls well
- Not funny
- I think it was scanned on lined paper
Edit : basically every conceivable aspect about the comic needs work. Pick something, anything, and Improve it. Repeat untill you have improved it ALL

The thing about showing "rough drafts" is that when they are so rough, we'll end up focusing on stuff that perhaps you already can do, but just didn't because it is the "rough draft". Never show rough drafts if you can do better, because we'll just tell you ways to improve that you already can actually do. Always show your best work if you really want to improve your art. Show us all you can actually do, and we can give you tips on how to improve beyond what you already can do. Because really, it doesn't matter two shits what we think about the rough drafts, it matters what we think about the "final product".
Well, that's the idea anyway, but this is the internet, so always expect at least a few people with nothing constructive to really say.

less talking about what your going to do. And more of the actual 'doing'
I didnt tell anyone i was going to do a comic until i already had like 5 strips done. until i guaged the workload, and my ability to do it. I think your looking for praise in posting this, but the truth is, you kinda have to earn it. Build an archive in secret, then you can start plugging it. Otherwise, you'll probably just end up like the countless other people who got the jollies off of playing comic artist, and had their fill, and gave it up. updating on a weekly schedule is HARD. especially when you balance work. I'm not trying to be mean, all im saying is that talk is cheap, which is why you always hear so much of it.
Overall, i don't dig furries, so i'm biased. But i DID think the 'sex on legs' comment was pretty funny

Ok, ok, I admit, this was probably a bad idea. I only posted it here to get some critiques. I haven't been drawing much over the summer break due to circumstances beyond my control, and I'm just now getting around to drawing and writing on a regular basis. I drew this quickie comic, not expecting to get much out of it, and decided, "Hey, this might be a good idea if I tune it out." Obviously, it's not. So I think I'll give up on drawing for now, and stick to just writing. It's less strenuous on me, and people don't care if you work on lined paper.
Thank you all for giving me a reality check. This thing's gone to long as is, so I think I'll just ask for someone to come along and delete it, please. Thanks.
(Oh, btw, the name of the comic was NOT The Webcomic of Death. Thank you for pointing out that one already exists. I'll make due note of it.)

You know, if you're at all serious about drawing, you should keep doing it, instead of giving it up. That doesn't mean you should post it on the internet, quite the contrary, but you should certainly practice on your own.
Judging your artwork from a technical standpoint is hard, because it is beyond rough, but your charecters are flat, and your proportions have no sense. What you need is years of practice, yes, years. All artists continue to grow over time, even the best ones, and though you still need to understand the fundamentals and basics of charecter drawing, it is the same.
If you quit drawing now, you will only suffer more. But then again, if drawing and writing aren't things you are particularly passionate about, then by all means, find the things you are and stick with those. Don't force yourself to do things you aren't inteersted in to impress other people.

I dunno if you're just vying for some reverse-psychology on us, but I mean, honestly. You're going to have to sac up if you wanna actually do something like writing or drawing. Listen.
Your audience is never going to be a gracious, nice and constructive audience. Mind you, you're working on the internet. People will rip your ass out no matter how quality it is. You will get "Teh ComiX SuX0r!111oneoneone" *ALOT*.
Now, quite honestly, your comic does pretty much suck, and it raises a question of how old you actually are. There was no realy defining quality that I enjoyed out of it, and you need to really haul over your work.
*BUT*. Keep on working, especially if you're one of the younger lil' kiddies in this world. Just because something sux doesn't mean that you have to get all defensive and cry about it. No...use that to your advantage. Put some step into your work, and try harder. And don't complain about it. Because the worse the comments people give you, the better you'll be, and the harder you'll work.
You honestly didn't think we'd laud your efforts? I mean, its a bunch of squigglies. You won't become PA or VGC or PVP in a couple days. But the fact that you're trying is *good*, and coming from an English Major / Attempting Writer, thats all you really need to know.
(PS- As a side note regarding your comic style...make sure that your comix aren't just really inside jokes between your friends. Sometimes your core group of friends will find something funny, but take that out of context, i.e. posting it on a forum for anonnomous people to read, and it may lose teh funneh ^^)
