Everyone that has played any metroid game, knows that they are annoying.They cling on to you draining you of your energy, only to be stopped by morph ball bombs.

Well, as long as we're being serious, I gotta go with the Wisps in Diablo II. They're ok in Normal, but in Nightmare they can kill you in one shot, and they usually fire lightning with 7 or 8 of their friends.

Those damn self-destruct bots in system shock 2.
They appear in the least convienient of locations and are a bitch to kill. They suicide and take out 1/2 of your health, not to mention there are usually 2-3 in one location.

The ghost fish from ninja gaiden. Fast, able to take singulairly take down your healthbar by a tenth, always travel in swarms of 20+ Invincible to lonrange weapons small and hard to hit and worst of all they knock you down when they attack, allowing more to swarm in and latch on, usulally killing you outright. >:l

Metroids annoy the hell out of me. Hell, I just played through Tourian today in Zero Mission and the whole area drove me nuts.
Also, I hate those flying medusa heads from the old Castlevania games. They always appear JUST as you're making a critical jump.
I hate those exploding psychic rats found in the Asylum in Psychonauts. Hate them with a burning passion. Fortunately, they appear in that one area.
On a related note, I think I hate that bull. A lot.

Anyway, I'd say the Flood. Hella annoying. I think annoyance was programmed into the game in the form of them.

SFAssault is good, but gets boring after awhile (I like combos) and has no survival mode or anything,but MAN! I love that gatling gun, goes through ANYTHING! and the rocket launcher has a lock on...

Actually, I beat the game and thought it was one of the worst endings I have ever seen. As for Necros, he appears after the crystal is destroyed by Kuja.
The most annoying part of that fight: He caused zombie to Zidane, who later died because of regen. Worst part: Could not revive him until I used a holy water that would always miss because he was dead. Plus he kept killing my healer.

the most anoying boss was on a game a played called hunter the reckoning: redeemer..... you have to chase down a zombie santa and once youve cornerd him he summons a 50 foot high teddy bear to fight along side him..... hes a pain unless your on two player

Hunter the Reckoning, as much as I hated that game, there was alway one boss that pissed me off and it was a giant mutated dog thing. Alway have friends when you play this game, because you need someone to lure the enemies out.

Recently, I'd have to say the Giant Hulkbusters (only Elbow Drops do decent damage) or missile launchers, both in Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.

The most annoying enemy would have to be the Phantom Fish in Ninja Gaiden.
The hardest boss I've ever fought was the Flame Dragon in Ninja Gaiden.

The Phantom Fish in Chapter 14 of Ninja Gaiden. They are everywhere and the just dont go away. If you stop for one second they latch on to you and paralyze you. Then more Phantom Fish join in. You either die or your very close of dieing.

This boss fight is irritating. Some little mutant squid gets on someone's head and soon after you're being destroyed by fireballs and other people. Not only that, but he has three forms. The last form, is, of course, the hardest. Fireballs, bloodspit.. I beat him after pumping in a bunch of coins though.
Alien Queen(Second Fight, AvP arcade)
The actual fight was awesome, starting with a simple "Let's rock!". There was one attack that had me doomed from the beginning:impale. While I was fighting off Smashers and Defenders, I end up on the tail of the queen with a big spike in my stomach. Every second you stay on you lose 1/4(roughly)of your life. Ouch.
Geese Howard(Fatal Fury 3, arcade)
I could never beat him. His throw counter had everyone beat from the start. I managed to get one round on him. Then he whooped me with that throw counter. Strange that I can beat him on every other Fatal Fury...
Chainsaw Dude, Prisoner Dude(Resident Evil 4, GC)
I'm stuck in two places. The chainsaw dude just.. won't.. die! He gets too close and he decapitates me. The prisoner dude hears too much stuff and decapitates me when I step to get a good aim at a bell..
Fire Leo(Viewtiful Joe, GC)
It took me ages to figure out how to beat him. I can probably beat him pretty quick if you asked me to. Same goes for Ice Tiger in VJ2.

Its not an enemy, but its annoying. Any lava in Ninja Gaiden, its like walking through radioactive mud. You try to get out of it, but you move as slow as a snail and you take damage every step of the way.

Speaking of Silent Hill, Mumblers form the first one and Spurpers from 3. They grab onto you, leaving you open for more attacks. And those enemies ALWAYS travel in groups!

Yeah they weren't very dangerous, they were just frickin annoying. Especially the special one (spoiler-free) when you return to Subway world. Plus each sword took up a very valuable inventory slot.
