never could get into Marley, for some odd reason. He was a very talented man, but Reggae just ain't my scene :\

I haven't actually heard much by Bob Marley, just Get Up, Stand Up which was cool. But Damian Marley (Bob's son) did a collaberation with Cypress Hill on their Till Death Do Us Part album. It's a class reggae-style rap song with some Spanish lyrics, it's called Ganja Bus.

I guess it's just a matter of taste. Personally I hate his music.
But then, I hate Reggae music in general. It's one of the few genre's I can't stand, and you have to admit that the consumation of marijuana has a great influence on the reggae stuff.

A great band which mixes raggae and rock is 311, they're kind of alternative rock/reggae/ska. They're a good way of getting into reggae-esque music if you prefer rock.

I think what stands out as strange about this thread is that everyone who posted in it in 2005 no longer goes here. ChainChompMan being the possible exception, though I haven't seen any posts lately.
