Yes, you see, because I had a great deal of respect for you before this. More respect, than say....... a complete comic hack with no talent. SLIGHTLY more respect, but now things have changed.

I disagree I belive that Spriters (myself included) have to earn their respect. This is becomming harder due to the fact that you get an overabundance of Sprite comics that

A) Are unoriginal (yay megaman is a idiot...again!)
B) Look terrable (im guilty of this in my early comics)
C) The plot humor or overall materal is the equivilant in intellectuallity(sp) as a five year old
D) Try to be too dramatic.

If only Spriters can as a group get over the Sterotype that A-D show maybe one day respect will come in bucketfulls (running out of cool metaphors)

It's nice to know that the forums are still hostile of me when it comes to sprites.*Sigh* I missed this place. I thought the thread was to make fun of the comic. I'm so misguided. Meh no big deal. I saw alot of spelling mistakes but everyone is guilty of that from time to time.

Because there's no glory to cutting and pasting? Unless you're using custom sprites or heavily, heavily modified ones very few will pay attention. Comics like 8-Bit Theater use various Photoshop techniques instead of MSPaint, and not to mention Clevinger's writing is what makes his comic special, not the sprites.

But very few people can attain a level of writing that transcends the quality and look of the work.

Personally, there's only one sprite comic I actually enjoy, and that's Rob's Otaku Revolution (http://www.otakurevolution.net/strip/index.html). He took a comic about people on a forum and through increadible writing has created a masterfully deep plot-driven story. While many of the characters are recolours and edits (he uses their self-made sprites for much of it), he is far from a slacker in the digital arts, crafting huge backgrounds and detailed props and such from scratch as well as doing some very excellent edits.

But that's just my opinion.

The only sprite comics that I enjoy are Pokemon X and InSonicnia. All of the others are either crappy paint-made sprites with gaming jokes, Megaman sprite edits and, the worst of all, Sonic sprite edits.

I gotta be honest Your comic is pretty bad, and it's not because it's spirtes. You could draw it with the same dialoge and it'd still be pretty bad. I like 8easybits It's the only spirte comic I read, I did read "Blues Brothers" Or something when I first started reading webcomics. That was pretty funny, as far as I remember.
