Good day internet patrons. My name is Ronald MacKinnon, a veteran of the forums past. I draw a comic by the name of Plugged Nickel. For three years it appeared in print in the Xaverian Weekly, the university newspaper of St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia (which boasts a 3 year in a row #1 university in Canada rating by McLean's magazine, and the most famous graduate ring in the world).

The general plot jumped from week to week in the beginning, the comics basically following the traditional newspaper style of three or four panel one-shot jokes. After a few years, I felt that I could tackle a bit more. In April 2004 I undertook the first continous storyline... which is slow, long and largely interrupted by filler and random gift comics to others. Seriously. A year ago and I'm only just now starting to close Chapter 2.

So what is it about? Well there's Mycroft; a single university male whom also happens to be an anthropomorphic beaver. His friends, Scott Hatcher, a shark, and Irvign Krillen, a bee, as well as an assortment of variously-cleavaged ladies.

OMG FURRIES!?! Possibly, although I prefer to think of them as cartoon characters. I draw people, robots, furries, practically everything. But right now my focus is on this comic, and I felt these characters were best suited for the storyline.

Feel free to rip it apart, I'd like any help you can offer. But please, refer to the Frequently and Seldom Asked Questions (http://pluggednickel.keenspace.com/fsaq.html) page. One question I get is Why isn't the strip in colour? Because I do not have the time to colour my comics, and I am not very good. If I don't have the time to colour them badly, I also don't have the time to learn how to colour them better.

Happy reading!

I've already read a good chunk of the archives, Ron, it's quite good.

The comic sucks...sucks so much that I have to read it every update and draw fanart for it. Yep sucks, honest *cough*.

I think I just came up with a idea for a Vanilla Fanart, that's going to knock your socks off. So be afraid Ronald, be afraid. Though I might take awhile cause I'm lazy.
