Medievil RPG anyone

well this is basically the same as "rpg anyone" but as that is now like 58 pages you cant really join in with the story. I like the idea of this, i dunno if other do but anyways.
the story is set in medieval times. we will be a group of out laws, joining together to form a kinda brother hood, like robin hoop lol :wtf:
anyways. you can be like mage, magician, sorceress, anything like that. its kinda like a quest, but with your help there will become a story envolved.
somehow we will meet up and explore and kill stuff and attack castles and encampments and things like that. no guns or characters from the future!

Description: He is about about 6'1 with blond hair. His build is that of a warrior and his skin color is white-tanned.
Background: He is rumoured to be the heir to a far away throne. His father was hardly known to him as his kingdom had been in such turmoil he had feared for his children. To protect them he gave them to two different foster families. Godenious after discovering his past began a quest to win the throne and save his people. However in an enourmous battle a foriegn invader struck at both sides forcing the leaders into exile by removing their memories. He now struggles to find himself. His only living relative Grandhilt is MIA. His wife has seemingly dissapeared off the face of the Planet.

Description: around 5’9, light brown hair, fast, agile looking male. Medium toned skin, with robes and leather boots. (Like a monk/ Robin Hood ;p)
Background: He was removed from his encampment after the elders felt great power of good and evil revolving around him. Being old and narrow minded they forced him to leave his camp with a water bottle and his clothes. He had he to live life the hard way, always moving, always alert in case he was ambushed by unknown being, thought to have on troll/ ork like appearance. And from living a life along he has became strong and responsible.

description: 7'1", slightly obese, but is still quite agile. looks like that Krug guy from VGCats, only slightly more handsome. Is still learning how to summon more potent animals, also has the potential to learn blue magic.
background: 2 billion year-old demon wandering the earth in search of adventure and training. He has learned the ancient art of summoning animal spirits from the underworld. Mainly squirrels and penguins and that sorta junk for now. he may become more potent as he learns, maybe in the next two billion years or so.

Type: A swordsman/mage
Description: He always is wearing full metallic armor, which shows none of the interior within. He is 190 cm tall. His skin, hair and other features are not shown since he wears the armor all the time. Basically his armor and helm covers everything. His armor is dark blue.
Background: A mighty servant of the gods, a captain of righteousness and justice during the war of the gods(Which happened a long long long time ago).
He fought against demons, evil creatures and the evil gods as well. He is extremely wise and poweful, yet not enough to defeat the god of destruction. The Guardian was defeated and imprisoned in a tomb, where he would be locked away forever. As time passed his physical body died away, only leaving his spirit encased in his armor. He was freed when a group of monks discovered him. Now he walks again to serve the gods of good once more.

background:Serkin is primitive the most primitive of all the inhabitants though can speak very fluently and wisely counts for something. Rutheless, Predatorial, and on revenge. Serkin's race has been wiped out by humans, Serkin's rage for these humans has flared again on a homicidal killing spree she vows to eliminate every last human and any who oppose...

Creativity at its best methinks... is their a problem with my character tell me.

discription: Blue hair, a bit long. has cat ears on head, and claws. wears black cloak, and hood, and has a big staff, with a ball in a circle on one side.
Background: was born in a small hut outside of a villiage. he was never allowed to go to the villiage, except to learn magic, since his mom was a sorceress. but, one day, his father came, and killed his mom, and the villiage. he took a very powerful jewel he was to get when he was 18, and ran. he then became a hired hand. he mostly does protecting and killing jobs. he uses the jewel to assist him in his magic. his staff is what he uses to cast spells, along with the jewel.

Background: Ninja-Z is a ninja created through magic and necromancy, created in every way as the ideal killing machine by the religious cult The Seraphim Seven. However, in giving Ninja-Z a free mind, he had escaped The Seraphim Seven and tried to live a different life, atoning for his sins by fighting against evil.

Murk rushed into the town square, where all the markets and shops are, selling swords, armour, food, etc... Three guards were chasing Murk, "GET BACK HERE WITH THAT STAFF" shouted one of the guards. "NO, this was my fathers, and you stole it off him, now I am stealing it back" Zurm replied. Suddenly Zurm held out of the staff, and pointed it at the 3 guards, the black stone on the end of the staff started to vibrate, and made a humming noise, the three guards stopped and stared wide eyed at the staff, a force beam flew out of the staff, carrying a loud booming noise with it, and knocked the three guards down, then flew them out of the city gates and into the forest. Zurm lifted the staff up, and slammed it against the ground, Zurm vanished, as well as the staff, nowhere to be seen.

How strictly medieval is this? So far, I'm guessing just medieval in technology level and not so much in social/cultural realms.

Anyways, here's my character application:

Type: Lancer

Description: Six feet tall with a lean and muscular build, Audra's form is athletic. Blonde hair is pulled back in front, leaving the rest loose. Cold blue eyes scrutinize everything they see. Her outer clothing consists of: a cream colored shirt, tan leather pants laced over white leggings, black leather boots reaching the knee, a long red coat trimmed with gold-colored knotwork embroidery, and black leather gauntlets. She carries a large spear as her primary weapon. A utility knife is sheathed on her belt.

Background: Audra is the rightful heir to the rulership of the city of Asphodel. However, her family was destroyed and scattered in a coup that stripped them of their power and position when she was twelve. Swearing vengeance against those that displaced her, Audra learned to use the spear under the tutelage of her mother's brother. To a lesser extent, she was taught archery for the purposes of hunting and sport. For now, she is seeking her younger sister, Sophia, in an effort to verify if she still lives. Ultimately, Audra desires to take back Asphodel for the Hagia family and reunite her remaining kin.

Kokoru brushed the dry leaves from his face and peers out of a whole in the tree so see ever lasting Jew covered plains glimmering in the growing sunlight. His home is a hollowed out tree containing his belongings and giant leaves from a pugart (a tree) which had fallen in the last battle against the armies of darkness. He dresses himself, takes his sword and helm and leapes from the tree, landing softly on the bushy undergrowth surrounding his home.

Guardian emerges from the cave, followed by 2 monk.
One of them says "The world has been corrupp and evil is everyhwre! Please messenger of the gods, save us!"
Guardian looks around, he sees the near by burnt down towns, people were screaming everywhere and corrupt people of high positions and soldiers were tormenting the defenceless peasants.
Now he knew why his spirit didnt die away, now he knew why he was awakened, to fight for the good gods once more.
"I am the servant of the gods of justice and good, their wish is my command. Get to safety you two, thank you for your help. However I believe that by being with me you shall be in danger. Now go!"
The two monks did so. Guardian unsheathed his sword, a sword made by the gods. He sees a group of soldiers, he sesne that their hearts were corrupt by evil. They see him.
One of them says "Hey you! Drop your weapon and prepare to be arrested for breaking the rule 32 of Lord Krisopher, no peasant or non-military personel shall carry a weapon!"
Guardian replied "I do not follow the rules from a corrupt man, only the rules of gods."
The soldiers charge at him, but with a single slash, they are all knocked back and unconcious, but still alive.
He looks at the burning village and decides to help the habitants there.

but from closer inspection of the ground around him, it was not just jew but prints, fresh prints. But these werent just animal prints, these were also human. The armies of darkness have risen again :fanboy: . There were heading towards and outer castle peasant encampment. Kokoru thrown down his can of water and follows the prints, keeping an eye out for anything unusual. He looked over the next hill and saw fire everywhere. There were people running and random shards of light everywhere reflecting of helmets and weapons. Then he saw something different, in full armour and a sword it could only be............. "it couldnt"............. "its not possible" ............ a servant of the gods?"..... it is......... it is :fanboy: .

Kokoru pulls his jaged from it scheath, hold it high in the air and cries out, " for the gods!" he races down the hill jumping flaming logs and dead bodies. But the enemies hav moved on already. All that is left is one man, with shining armour.

Lanser had looked to hte air fron his sitting posittion in the trees. "smoke" he said, and sniffed the air. he jumped down, and ran towards the smoke, and put on his hood and cloak. when he got there, he saw the fire, and the dead bodies. when he turned, he saw two people. one charging at something, and another fighting sholders. he desided to help put out the fire. he dug into the ground, and put his hand over the ground, and a jewel on his neck glowed blue, and water came flying out, and started swirling around. lanser controled it with his hands, and moved the walter along the ground, putting out most of the fire. 'man, i hope no one notices me doing this' thought lanser, making the water put out some more fire. thats when some of the water hit the person fighting the sholders, because he saw he had some flames on his back.

kokoru span round to see water....everywhere... he was confused but before he knew it a soldier had swung his great axe, nearly decapitating him, but he manged to roll to the side and scramble away, avoiding death. The soldier swung again, kokoru threw himself back wards landing face first in a giant tree stump. The axe hit the old bark and shards flew everywhere. Kokoru pulled his sword back and thrust it forwards, jabing the guard just below the neck and killing him. The soldier dropped to the ground leaving the blade in the tree.

While Murk was digging into an apple he stole from the market, he saw citizens running tawards him, shouting at him "Run.. Run... Fire.."

Murk raised one eyebrow and walked tawards the running crowd, them all shouting. "Mr your going the wrong way"

Murk pushed thru all the crowd, and saw houses and markets burning. He pulled up his staff and said "morey elev jumporithey" and jumped high up onto a wall wich was about 30 metres off the ground. From wich he had a good sight of the fire, and the battle within.. Murk laughed and carried on eating his apple as he watched the citizens burning to death.

Krug jumped up to the wall and yelled,
"KRUG WANT FOOD!" Murk jumped amd let out a momma's boy scream at the same time, causing him to fall of the wall. A small squirrel jumped down and took the apple Murk was eating and ran off.

Lanser was putting out the fire, and saw murk falling. he directed some of the water to catch murk, and he slid down, and landed safely on the ground. then, the water went back to putting out the fire. by now, lanser had put out a good portion of the fire and widdles it down, so that the only thing left was a hut on fire. lanser covred the hut with the water, and finished putting out the fire. the water fell to the ground, and sunk into the dirt. lanser then saw kokoru, and cast a spell, and healed kokoru. he then saw more sholders, and put his hand through one of their chest, and pulled out his heart, with blood still comming out of it.

"What the hell do you think your doing, dont touch me, are you dumb or something, if I jump off the wall, it does of fucking mean I am falling, NEVER TOUCH ME AGAIN" Murk threw the staff into the air, and repeated "MORTHANIUS ENTENTITIE BORECTORITH LANTESTETH" Lanser flew into the fire. Murk passed by where he had fallen, and made the fire burst into an explosion. Murk walked off laughing. And threw the core of his apple over his sholder.

Lanser looked up,and cughed a bit. he walked out of the fire, and his hood has burned off, without him knowing. he turned to murk's diection, and said, "yo, loser! next time you throw some in a fire, make sure their hurt!" then, stone came out of the ground, making a wall in front of murk, bloking him from walking away. "i only helped you from getting hurt. if you have a problem, you talk, not attack. or, i'll rip out your beating human heart, while its still beating." said lanser, squeasing his hand togeather.

Murks staff vibrated again, and Murk vanished from inside the stone wall.. Lanser heard a noise behind him, he turned around and saw Murk standing behind him.. "How.. How did you do that" Squarmed lanser, only PROFETIONALS should try it.. Murk held out his hand and rapped it around lansers neck, "YOU THINK YOU CAN MESS WITH ME, YOU FUCKING THINK YOU CAN MESS WITH ME" Murk chuckled, and vanished, leaving lanser chocking on the red hot scorched floor.

kokoru turned round once mor and saw two dark figures, both tall and one of them looking odd and discoloured. Kokoru senses that these two are worriors and should not be fighting............. its not right............. they should be fighting together not again each other.

if itis true that the armier of evil have rises once more they will need to band togother..... form a brotherhood............ live for each other..... not themselves. he call out, " You Are both Good and should not be fighting !", there is no reply and one of them is become more and more discoloured. he calls again. They both turn and stare. one cries out, " and how do you decide what i do, or who i fight!!", kokoru cries back ".............because...... because you can both become great warriors"

After saying this they stop. They step away from each other. " You are both here for a reason and you both have something again the forces of evil. They have affectyed you life in some way or another and you want to give them what they deserve, you know you should not be fighting each other, now stop it!!!

Godenious walked in the quiet of the small out of the way path. His peaceful moment constantly interupted by disturbing visions of a past that was or a possible future that will be. As he struggled to focus on the winding path made of a loose dirt a small odd shaped thing came speeding towards him. The object neared him by the second there was no avoiding it now he had to stop it. In an amazing display of swordsmanship he unsheathed his blade and nailed the furry object with the flat blunt side of his sword sending the formerly airborne creature into a tree. "A projectile squirrel" he smirked hearing a small commotion somewhere close to his position. He sheathed his sword and cautiously approached the noise.

Audra surveyed her surroundings as she entered a town, trying to get her bearings in this confusing, chaotic place. People milled through streets and their voices echoed and blended between the walls of buildings. Her black boots beat a steady rhythm as she strode forward with her long spear casually braced against her shoulder.

Her step hesitated as a streetside eatery caught her attention. Veering towards it, she took note of the patrons that ate while standing alongside the booth. Glancing at the finer buildings just down the way, she decided that this would be a good place to stop for while. After lowering her spear so that she could stand under the awning and ordering a quick snack of a cabbage meat roll, she leaned against the wooden counter of the booth. From here, she had a good vantage of a towering stone and copper belltower. Her clear blue eyes settled on that tower until she received and paid for her food. Munching underneath the shade of the eatery awning, she let her mind work.

Temporarily sated, Audra ducked under the awning and back into the light. Her spear came to rest on her shoulder once more and she continued her journey to the belltower. Finally, she came to the stone steps leading up to the heavy doors of the holy house. High above, pigeons flocked about the copper roof of the tower. Perhaps here she would find another clue. The movement of a shadow in her peripheral caught her attention. Her red coat flared as she turned to face the source of the movement and readied her spear. Was this friend, foe, or only her imagination?

Apparently having taken a couple of wrong turns in the winding forest he emerged near some sort of temple. Strange he thought one commotion led him to another as he noticed a woman in her 20's. He noticed her spear and her paranoid yet useful instincts.
He scanned around her, scanned where she was looking. He could hardly see through the darkness. It wasn't just that though.
"No not again" he choked as his knees dragged him to the soft ground. His eyes closed as the visions returned. He saw the Slaughter of an entire village, A dark knight raising his sword above him. then he saw his eyes, the eyes filled with rage, pain, sorrow, hate. So much emotion so much torment. As the blade neared his face he gasped for air. It was clean not full of ash and smoke. He was outside in a land far away. Near a woman brandishing a spear.

Audra's brows furrowed as she watched a blond man mutter and fall to his knees nearby. Darting a glance to the heavy doors before halfway easing her spear, she asked, "Do you need help? Are you trying to get to a priest?"

He was shocked at her kindness. Normally people thought him a whackjob. He wondered if that was why he wondered. The idea of a priest sounded good. He had been chased out of numerous towns claiming him as being possesed. He did also need shelter, his visions had become stronger with each passing week. This latest one was more real than the others. Like he was actually there.

Useing his sword as a rudimentary((it sounds like the right word)) walking stick he came to his feet. The metal sinking into the soft dirt just enough to grant him stability. "Help would be nice but I think I"ll be fine for a bit." He answered as politely as he could.

Walking up to her he held out his hand, "The name is Godenious, the wandering warrior. Whats yours?" He asked her now standing with the sword sheathed at his side.

A small scar glowed faintly on his right hand. The letters were German Tot((I don't know how to do the double .. over the o)) it meant death. However it was written in a more personalized style as if a Zorro-esque figure wanted to leave his trademark. However by the time his arm was fully extended the scar faded as if it had never been there.

"I am Audra Hagia of Asphodel," she replied, declining his hand with a small bow. Her eyes narrowed at the glowing scar and her lips pressed together as it faded. Her gaze did not need to rise far to meet his. "Are you certain that you do not need the services of a priest? Come, we shall see Father Godric."

Audra climbed the stone steps to the iron-bound doors and tested the handle with a pull. The dull clank of wood stopping against its lock gave her an answer. Thumping the butt end of her spear against the step, she set her jaw and pounded her gauntleted fist against the door.

After a short wait, the lock was unlatched and one of the doors creaked open. A young man peered at the tall woman in the red coat. She bowed her head to him. "I am Audra Hagia. I have come to see Father Godric. Is he in?"

The young man eyed the long spear. "He is in, but he is occupied."

"Then let me pray until he is available. This is urgent."

After a moment of mulling over this, the doorkeeper allowed entrance. Audra bowed her head again and entered the building. Her boots clipped across the tile floor as she marched to the chapel. Finding a place to kneel, she lowered her spear onto the floor and began the motions of prayer.

Not long after she began, a graying man dressed in black robes approached her. "What is it that you pray for?"

Audra's response was clear. "I pray for my family, my city, and for the strength to give them justice." She looked to see if Godenious was still with her. If he was, she waited for him to give his own response, in case graying priest's question was directed at him.

He followed her in, laying his sword down, he kneeled in an average prayer stance. He began chanting words he often found himself speaking it was an odd dialect one that had died in this region long ago. It helped to relax him, whether it was for sleep or prayer. He felt his mind clear, his vision faded again.

He was no longer in the holy place praying. He was in a luxurious castle, the walls glittered in a robin's egg blue, the trees so perfect in their shape, the windows intricately designed and letting in the prefect amount of light. It was like a wonderful dream, the beauty of it all, the smell of fresh roses. It was all so much to take in.

A beautiful woman entered. He noticed she was of elven decent as her complexion and features resembled that of the elven people. She walked, carrying herself like that of a princess, towards him holding a glass full of some sort of nectar. She stared into his eyes lovingly. As she held out her arm he reached for the glass when a voice rang out.

It was the black robed graying man talking about prayer. He wondered if the priest was talking to him. After hearing Audra's response he aswered with his own. He had figured the question was directed towards the both of them.

"I pray for forgiveness in the eyes of the lord, I pray for freedome from the angels and demons whoich pray upon my shattered mind. However above all I pray for those less fortunate than I."

He wears a dark red shirt, the sleeve is just cut above his elbow. An armplate runs from his shoulder down to his left arm. He just have a left chectplate, on his chest which is connected, to the left shoulder armplate. And he wears a dark ripped cloak around his body. He cares his longsword around his waist, and a bow and quill off around his back.

Bio: His father was a demon warlord, and his mother was just one off his mistress, fathered out off wedlock, neither human or demon, not accepted by neither race. His mother was killed when he was ten, the other villager couldn't accepted her, so they killed her, and was gonna killed him, but not wanting to die, he picked up a longsword, which his father gave his mother, as a present. Sakuya killed everyone in the village, the men, the women, childerns, the elderly, he wiped out his own village, with the death everyone in his village, Sakuya just smirked and walked away.

lanser had stopped the vines, and jumped in the air. his nosed caught some people going by him. he jumped into a tree, and followed them to a temple. he jumped onto the roof, and put his cat ear to the roof. he heard some people talking, so he yused his claws to cut a hole in the roof. he looked down, to see how close the chunk of roof almost hit godenious, which caught the person's atttection. lanser jumped through the hole, and landed behind a statue. 'Great. i hate temples......' thought lanser, watching the group.

The piece of roofing landed within inches of Godenious. His only motion was to seize the hilt of his sword. Turning he caught a glimpse of a shdow leaping behind a temple statue.

Quietly Godenious approached the statue. His eyes aware, sword ready at his side. His ears were attentive to any noises being made around him. Whatever that was he would get to the bottom of it. As long as a vision didn't hit him again at least.

Lance saw the person nearing where he was. his first reastion was to run. his second reation was to jam his claw through the persons chest, and take out his heart. but, he desided to do a third reaction. he picked up the statue, and threw it at the person, and jumped on top of another bigger one, for safety.

Godenious having had his sword ready beforehand, sliced the statue into two symmetrical pieces. Each landed on either side of him. This intruder was strong but foolish to pick a fight in a holy temple. He desired to keep the temple at least half clean.

Godenious shouted out to the intruder, realizing quiet was now impossible, "Who or what are you, and why have you come to this once peaceful temple?"He eyed the room, listening for a reply, spotting a shadow atop one of the larger statues.

"i came here trying to find out who you people were. you passes through my clans forest, so i desided to find out who you were. but, you seem to be the violent type." said lance,and he jumped in the air, and landed behind him, and he slashed at a metal pole, and it broke, and he held it to defend himself.

"I'm Godenious, wandering swordsman. Though I wouldn't consider myself violent just overly cautious. However you don't appear the overly violent type, you could have easily struck me down with a single jab of your claw, obviously you didn't come here to pick a fight." With that he sheathed his blade and held out a a friendly hand.

Lanser eyed him warly, and put the pole down. "the names lanser." he said, but not shaking his hand. "why are you here?" he asked.

"I'm here to pray, and find answers. Mostly however I"m here because of an interesting turn of events." He put his hand down and grabbed half of the statue that had been broken and set it down in its original position. He then grabbed the other half and placed it also in its original position. The statue was as it was before except for the crack where it was slit open.

Lanser smiled. "your having some weird visions, huh?" said lanser, and he took the pole, and swung it around. "a person i knew had those. he was just as weird as you." said lanser.

"So you were spying? I don't recall saying I've had some weird visions. So what happened to this person you knew?" Godenious responded meanwhile finding a seat to sit and chat.

"he died. he had a vision right in the middle of a fight, and got mauled by a huge dog demon. i knew that you were having those weird visions, cause you were acting like he did, and he always went to a temple to try to get free from havig them." said lanser sitting on the floor, crossed legged.

"Well thats a pleasant thought. I'll try to avoid large conflicts before I get rid of this curse." He replied not hearing the answer he had hoped for. "So how well did the temple visits work?"

"it only worked for a day." said lanser, and he started to claw the ground. "he never when far from the temple."

"Terrible living off of short term solutions." Godenious stood up. "I must find a premanent cure!"

Lanser shook his head. "you'd neeed to find the element of the mind to cure such a curse." said lanser, looking at godenious.

"Element of the mind? I've never heard of it. Where would I go about finding such a thing?" Godenious asked curiously.

"its in a far off place. not a kind of a adventure for the weak. its surrounded by creatures that will make you relive you past horrable memmories, as they kill you from your mind." said lanser.

"Well I guess I'm in for one hell of a week. I should probably look into enlisting a wandering priest to keep me from losing it in serious battles." He said sitting back down again.

Lanser shook his head again. "no. a preist would get killed. you need a strong compainon to go with you." said lanser.

He nodded, "Not just one strong companion we'd need a group to make it up there alive. Convincing a goup of people to follow you into an uncertain future is a very hard thing to do. We need a group with motivation and a reason for going up there."

"well, the reason why its so dangerous is because of a evil person up there. and, the strongest clans make the path to there dangerous, by living there. we'd need some body who has something against this evil guy to join us. or, someone who we have blackmail against." said lanser

Audra dodged out of the way of the falling roof, pulling the priest away to safety as she did so. Coming to a stand, she fired a sapphire glare at the feline intruder and the damaged that he caused the holy house. Her hands gripped her spear so fiercely that the leather on her guantlets creaked.

When she finally found her voice, it came out as a low snarl. "How dare you desecrate this sanctuary. How dare you commit such sacrilege. Have you no honor or respect for those that serve the higher order? Do you not respect those that come here for prayer and guidance?" She pointed her spear to the fallen copper, wood, and stone fragments that littered the now scratched tile floor. "Look at that!" She thrust the point of her spear upwards towards the hole in the roof. "Look at that! Do you know what will happen in here should it rain before it is repaired? Must more damage to this place occur because you couldn't knock on a door?!" She strode forward. "The least repentance would be to apologize to Father Godric for the work and cost you have inflicted on him and the brothers and sisters that live here."

Lanser looked at the girl. "I don't apologize to no human! if you have a problem with me and my ways, then take it up in a fight!" said lanser, and he got up, and took th epole he broke, and he held it defencivly.

The tall woman glared at the feline and slammed the butt on her spear onto the floor. It was her principle to never back down from a challenge. Her voice rang out clear against the high arches and stone walls of the room. "I am Audra Hagia of Asphodel!" She swung her spear to point to the heavy wooden door. "I shall answer your challenge outside, heathen beast!"

Her long red coat flared behind her as she strode out of the building. On the street, she turned and readied her stance and weapon. "Come and learn penitence!"

lanser looked at the women go. he took the pole, and he put it on the ground. he strode outside, and stood, claws bared. "i will defet you in a fight. i shall not lose to a human!" said lanser.

"Hmph." Audra's long spear was held at ready and her flesh prepared to move. Light glinted off of the sharp steel point and the breeze played with her golden hair. "Stop your talking and take up your own challenge." It was the catboy who issued the challenge, so in Audra's book, that meant that it would be the catboy who would get the first strike.

"if that is your wish." said lanser, and he dashed around her. he stoppped right behind her, and said, "just don't think i'll take it easy on you because your a girl." lanser grabbed her arm ,and slamed her into the ground, and clawed up her arm badly, so it was bleeding freely. lanser jumped up, and landed in a tree, and licked off some of the blood. "first blood shed never tasted so good."

Audra turned to follow Lanser as he ran around her, keeping herself facing him and her spearpoint trained on him. Mentally, she brushed away his comment as playtalk and twisted away from his grab with a hop backwards. Once her boots hit the dust, she lunged her spearpoint towards him.

lanser dodged the incomming spear, and then jumped over hher, and kicked her in the back. he then jumped back into the trees, so he can hide amost the tops of the trees. this is a stratigey he used a long time ago. he never thought he could use this stratigy again.

Audra grunted and staggered forward, catching her balance after the catboy's kick. The rustling in the trees as he jumped into them signaled to her where he went, but she could not see him among the foliage. Blue eyes narrowed in irritation as she kept her weapon and body ready for an attack. Did the catboy run away? Or was he waiting to ambush her from above?

lanser desided to do a confusion. he jumped down, and dashed around her. he then slashed at the girl, aiming at her other arm. he then jumped back to the safty of the tree tops.

Audra twisted to face Lanser when he hit the ground and ran around her. In the time he took to dash around her, she brought her spear up to block the slashing claws while jumping backwards to avoid them. She could hear them whistling through the air as he lashed out. By the time her boots were on the ground again, the catboy was in the trees again. Annoyed, Audra backed away from the cluster of old trees near the copper-roofed holy building. If he wanted to attack her now, he would have to move out of jumping range to the trees. Of course, there were still the rooftops of neighboring buildings, but at least she would be able to see him on those.

lanser saw her move towards the building. he then used the trunk of the tree, and kicked off of that. he then flew towards the girl, and to try to tackle her into the wall. he had his claws out ahead of him, so that it would damage her.

Audra's eyes widened when she saw Lanser fly the distance between the tree trunk and herself. Any Lancer would take pride in such a jump. However, her surprise did not cause her to hesistate in her first instinct, which was to brace herself and aim her spearpoint at the flying feline, in the hope that he would do her the favor of impaling himself on the sharp steel.

Guardian saw the fight between the girl and the half demon.
He walked to a disatance where they both could see him.
He observed the fight between these two, it wouldnt be the hnourable thing to interfere during one's duel.
However he would have to interfere just before someone was about to be killed.
Until then he stood and watched the fight.

lanser flew at her, and saw the spear. he first reation was to push off it. when he did. he hit the wall behind the women, and it collapsed down. lanser moved a big chunk off him, to see his own hand bleeding. he looked at the women, with his eyes turnning red. he picked up a chunk of rubble, and threw it at the women.

After leaping and vaulting out of the way of the collapsing wall, Audra stared at the damage. 'Such shoddy construction...' A chunk of rubble flew at her and she ducked to avoid it hitting her head. The debris glanced her shoulder, knocking her off balance for a moment. Ignoring the numbness in her shoulder, she bunched her legs beneath her and summoned her Lancer training. Leaping high into the air, she dove down at the catboy, seeking to drive her long spear into him from above.

lanser looked at her jumping in the air, and jumped out of the way. he then picked up another chunk, and tossed it at her, with his eyes turnning even redder.

Guardian went bit nearer to the combat.
He put his sword back to its case, the fight was interesting, very interesting.
He had not seen a good fight for a millenia, since he was imprisoned during that time.
The buildings around them were poorly built, one good hit at them and they might just collapse on both of them.

Already crouched on the debris pile, Audra rolled out of the way of the flying chunk. The loose debris gave way, sending her sliding onto the street. Hastily, she scrambled to get to her feet and readied her spear once more. In this moment, she paused to catch her breath, never taking her eyes off of Lanser.

lanser then desided that in order to get rid of this pest, he needed to make a mess. so, he took a chunk of rubble, and threw it a a building behind the women, at a weak building, to bring it down on her. he picked up another piece, just in case.

Audra noticed that the chunk of rubble was flying too high for it to be aimed at her. The catboy's aims were never so far off mark. When she heard the sound of collapsing stone behind her, she called on her Lancer jump again and leaped out of the way. 'Is this city made of straw?!' She snarled at the catboy, "Is your only battle skill that of property damage? Do you think nothing of the innocents you hurt by your recklessness?"

Guardian knew that if this battle was continued, innocents people might get hurt.
"You two! Take your battle out of the area before people get hurt. Plus many demons think of nothing but them selves young one. If this battle continues here, I'll be forced the halt it."
He unsheathed his sword and waited for their reply.

Lanser looked at the new person. "you dare intrude?" said lanser, and he then took a tree, and tossed it at the new person. "and, i'm not a demon, i'm only half." said lanser, and he jumped into a tree.

The tree hit Guardian, but didnt seem to effect him at all.
He didnt move, flich or get pushed back at the tree.
"This is your final warning, I dont want to hurt anyone today."
He tightened his grips on his sword.

"well, you should stay away from my fight!" said lanser,and he jumped at the person, and slashed at him.

The attack seemed to have no effect on Guardian.
He just stood there for a couple of minutes.
Then he moved, he was readying himself for a fight.
"Very well demon, but you should know that I had more then a millenia of experiences with dealing with demons and evil creatures."
He waited for the demon to make his move.

Lanser seemed pissed off at the evil comment. "i'm not evil. you humans are all the same. can't comprehent anything, its evil. don't want to understand it, its evil. that pisses me off!" said lanser, and he grabs his head, and his eyes turn red, and marks appear on his face. he then jumps at the person, slashing violently.

Guardian looked at lanser
"Human? I am not a human, I have seen more than anything you can imagine. I have been to hell and came back to the mortal realms. I have far much more knowledge about yourself then you can possibly imagine."
His sword shone a brilliant light, then he shouted
"Exoricism!"
The light created a prison of light around Lanser, a prison that can hold demons for many years.
"Calm youself down. Master you dark demonic side then talk about what I dont understand."
Guardian decided not to kill this one, for this particular half demon could be the one that could learn his knowledge and become something different from a demon.
After all, Guardian himself had been a demon himself, nevertheless he mastered his demonic side and became a servant of the good gods.

Lanser started to claw at the sides, and let out a roar. after an hour, he relaxed,and turned normal. "hu..what? where am i? what is this i'm in? LET ME OUT!" screamed lanser.

Guardian saw that Lanser was back to his normal self.
"Patience young one. First answer my question, who are you?"
Guardian thought
only an hour to recover, pretty impressive at his age. This one has lots of guts in him. I might be able to teach this one to become more powerful and master his demonic side...

Godenious emerged from a few blocks down, He had been watching the fight for quite some time now. He had not previously noticed the other warrior but he recognized his strength upon spotting him. Although with alll his knowledge and experience he wondered if this Guardian knew of a way to cure him of his visions.

The fight was baisically over even though there was no clear victor. Any hostilities between Audra and Lanser were hopefully put to a stop.

Godenious approached the warrior, slowly as to be sure not to crush anything important or trip over the fallen debris. "Mysterious Guardian what brings you here?" Godenious questioned him.

"my name is lanser, i am a half cat demon, and anything else, i'd have to kill you." said lanser, sitting on the ground.

This one had lots of courage in him, yet stubborn as well.
"I say again, patience. Relying on anger and rage never works. Now are you going to attack me when I release you? I can easily summon up another one. So really, who are you? What are you? What does your spirit tell you who you are Lanser? Do you even know the potential inside you?"

Guardian looked into lanser's eyes, trying to find some answers himself.

Lanser was getting angry again. "i run me! i know who i am! you don't question me from outside this prison, you scardy person! i demand that you let me out, NO!" said lanser, who sat on the floor

"Calm yourself! Do you seriously believe that you can actually accomplish anything with that rage?"
Guardian spoke, but with a little bit of aggresiveness in his voice.
"Now if you want me to remove the prison, all you have to do is to calm yourself."

"this is how i've survived. i stick to the habits that have worked." said lanser. he sat on the ground, waiting impationally. "i demand to be let out! come on! please?" said lanser.

Guardian chuckled.
"Very well young one, i havent heard that word from a demonic person in a long time. Well the world is changing, becoming much more dangerous. Rage along isnt enough to keep you alive."
Guardian held out his hand and the light energy prison faded away.

"thank you!" said lanser, and he then jumped at the person, his claws barred.

"Exorcism!"
Guardian shouted once more. The cage was back.
"Tsk, Tsk. I warned you."
Then he noticed Godneious
"Sorry about that. I was occupied. The reason that brings me here is to return the light back into this corrupt world. Now who are you? and how did you know what I was?"

"My name is Godenious, wandering warrior, I've seen many fighters in my time yet only once have I heard of your kind. It was a long time ago when I had met one quite similar to yourself, she was brave and willing to die for the lands she had sworn to protect. I had wandered into that land seeking shelter and the locals were to afraid to house me. She however welcomed a fellow warrior into her home. She taught me many useful fighting styles and strategies. She often spoke of other Guardians like her and yourself, however because she had protected the lands so long their military had become weak and their leaders arrogant. They had made many enemies, and in an enourmous battle she was all they had left. We went out on the battlefield completely unprepared for the thousands they had sent into battle. It was a massacre of her troops leaving only her and myself. Many of the opposing forces had been lost before she was taken down. I was left for dead having been severly crippled by one of my visions. The leaders in a daring move laid a trap(one she had planned as a back-up) for the attackers and it was that trap which spared their land from destruction. A large statue now stands where she fought and died. " Godenious having realized his story had gone on a bit too long decided he had conveyed enough of that.

Audra seethed as her battle was interrupted. Nonetheless, she watched the proceedings between Guardian and Lanser. Her disdain for the catboy grew when she watched him take advantage of Guardian's mercy only to launch another attack.

Audra approached Guardian and pointed her spear at the catboy. "I don't appreciate others interfering with my battles," she told the newcomer, "I'm not done with him yet." She put her spear to rest at her shoulder. "Unless, that is, you have a prior claim to this wretch."

"hey, i told this person the same thing! but, no, the person had to piss me off, and then trap me. i'm starting to think i would of been better off staying in bed." said lanser, leaning on the wall.

[wolfdemon]

"Well Godneious, 'tis good news for me that Guardians still exist today, yet I sense only few remain. I am the Guardian, the one who formed the order of the guard few millenia ago. I was the only one who actually mastered all the arts of combat and magic in the order, since only I had the knowledge of its existence."
Guardian walked over to Lanser and the girl.
"As I said before, take your combat out of the area. Plus I need this catboy alive."

"AT LEAST FEED ME! And, I DEMAND TO BE LET OUT!" screamed lanser, his voice becomming horse from the screamming.

Guardian looked at Lanser
"Stop tiring yourself out boy, you're gonna kill yer self someday. I'll let you go this time, but i can always summon it back anytime I want to. So be warned."
Guardian held out his hand and the small prison faded away.
"There, you happy now?"

"yes. but, wht is it that you need me for? tell me" said lanser, and he barred his claws, to try to intimidate the guardian.

"Clearly you have great potentials in you young one. You remind me of a boy I knew, he used to be stubborn and was full of rage just like you. He was a greater demon of the forests, a wolven demon, the first even wolfdemon to be created. He brought havoc and fear whereever he went, one day a good god defeated him, but spared his life and showed him the ways of justice. He showed him the potential that was in him. The demon gladly accepted to serve the good gods. The demon became much more concious, wiser and mightier than he has ever been. He only became that much powerful thanks to his demonic heritage and his new powers and knowledge.
The demon became a bringer of justice, the servant of the good gods and the demon became me"
Guaridan looked at Lanser again.
"And I believe that you too can learn the ways of the guard, master the ways that none else but me managed to."

Lanser had fallen asleep durring the talking, and he woke up after he was done. "Uhhhh... whatever. i din't pay much attection, so, yea. whatever." said lanser getting up, and brushing off the dust from his clothing. "so, whatever. can i finish my fight that i was in?" asked lanser.

"As long as innocents are not in danger, fine by me."
Guardian sat down on a tree stump to observe the fight

"hey, its the innosents fault for being in the way." said lanser, picking up a chunk of rubble, and he found a person under it. he put the rubble piece down, and help the person up. the person was weak, and hurt badly. lanser helped the person to a sittinsg posittion against the tree. the person looked at lanser, and spotted his ear, and screamed, and hit him, and ran. lanser watched the person go, and sat on the ground. "why must i be cursed with people that don't even listen to me?" said lanser, loking at the ground.

Audra readied her spear and approached Lanser. "No, it is not the fault of the innocents that "they got in the way". It is your fault that you do not have the discipline or skill to hit only what you intend to strike. It is your fault that you do not have the capacity to realize that your actions have consequences. It is your fault that you do not have mastery over yourself. Even if you possess great physical strength, you are still weak."

She fell into a combative stance and met his eyes with her own. "So, the question is, are you willing and able to face the consequences of your weakness and repair that which you have recklessly damaged? Or shall I take reparations on behalf of those you have hurt, directly or otherwise?"

He had already shown that he was capable of cleaning up after himself with his last action. Now Audra mused if he had the capability to do so intentionally, under the realization of wrongdoing. If not, then she would put an uncivilized creature out of his misery and spare future innocents from being harmed by his rampages. 'Sacrifice one for the good of the many.'

lanser just flicked her off, and said, "it s this sociadlys fault. they judge me on apperance, so they suffer. and, i hit building, to see if you would pay attection to what happend to the building, so i could hit you." said lanser, and he just glared at her.

Audra rolled her eyes at what she perceived as lame excuses and stalling talk. To Guardian, she remarked without taking her eyes off of Lanser, "Are you sure you want this wastrel?"

Then to Lanser, she said, "I shall oblige this gentleman's request to minimize collateral damage. There is an empty field to the east of here. Follow this street we stand on to the edge of town. There is an open field left fallow for the year. We shall conclude our dispute there. Since you insist on being a cur, you shall lead the way."

"fine, whatever. lets go." said lanser, and he led them to the field, and he stood. "i insist that you go." said lanser, and he stood, ready to defend himself.

Without a word, Audra lunged at Lanser with her long spear, thrusting it in a series of lightning jabs.

Lanser dodged the attacks, but he got hit on the side of the stomic by the spear, and he grabs his side. he curseds outloud, and he jumped at the person, with his bloody claws barred.

In his leap, Lanser slipped past the length of the spear to slam into Audra. She turned sideways in an attempt to slip between his claws and ram her shoulder into him. As she turned, her spear slid under her gauntlets, changing orientation so that base of the spearhead was gripped under her trailing hand. As she turned, Lanser's claws scraped against her back and trailing arm, leaving crimson gashes in both cloth and skin. The collision of flesh could be heard across the field. Under the impact, Audra threw her weight against Lanser's, digging her boots into the earth and jabbing the point of the spear backwards to the catboy.

Lanser took the pain,and pushed even harder, to knock his opponet over. 'Damn, she's strong.' thought lanser, pushing with all of his half demon streanth.

At the increase of pressure, Audra suddenly twisted to one side to let the catboy either fall over or step forward to follow his push. As she turned, she swung her spear at him. However, she still had the butt end pointing forward, so the sharp end would not score. In the follow through, she corrected that error and swung her spear again, this time ducking and aiming low.

lanser stepped forward, and got hit by the butt end, and then backed up, to avoid the sharp side of the spear, and did i hi kick to his opponet, not knowing if it will hit or not.

Audra ducked the kick and gathered her legs beneath her. Calling on her Lancer training again, she leaped high into the air and dove down at Lanser, aiming to harpoon the catboy.

((I'm currently questioning my judgement on bringing a stubborn-proud warrior type into this game, 'cause this fight is going on kinda long. Audra can't just let a righteous fight pass by.))

Lanser looked at the mess he made. true, he did make this mess, but he never ment for it to be this big. lanser sighed, and said, "fine. but, this counts as a unfinished fight between us, you know." lanser then went to the temple, and looked at the hole in the roof. he took some wood, and some nails, and the piece of ceiling. he jumped to the roof, and through the hole, and started to patch up the ceiling. after finishing that, he looked at the other homes. "Um, i think i will need help with this." said lanser, to audra.

Audra let a smirk play on her lips. "Then perhaps you should introduce yourself to the townsfolk and holy folk and let them help you. They are familiar with where to get the supplies and some may be willing to teach you the carpentry and masonry you need for proper repairs. If you have problems with them, come find me and I will remedy the situation." She eyed her wounded arm and began to walk deeper into the temple. "If you will excuse me, I must see Father Godric." And a healer...

Her black boots clicked across the floor and she passed through a doorway.

All pretense of amusement from Audra dropped the moment Lanser touched her. Narrowing her eyes, she snarled, "It was your idea to damage the temple. It was your idea to issue a challenge. It was your idea to trash the town." She jerked out of his grasp, noting that her wounds still needed to be tended to if they were to heal properly. Stitches for the deepest of the clawed gashes were likely in order. "I am not your mother, boy. I will not clean up after you."

With those words said, she continued on to seek the priest.

((I've never really done an RP but I've read a lot of them so i think I get how this works. I don't have much time right now so I'll just introduce my character.))

Name: Albert O'Leary
Age:26
Type: He doesn't much like to fight but when he has to he's got a crossbow and a small knife.
Description: Average height, lanky and thin build, wears a simple tunic and pants, with a brown hooded cloak: he has a crossbow slung across his back and a quiver of bolts strapped to his thigh.
Background: He comes from a family in which the men have joined up with the army(?)((whats the military in this place)), so naturally, he was encouraged (more like forced) to join up. This is where he learned to use his crossbow. He was never much good at it and after his first battle he decided he didn't much like being attacked and deserted. For awhile now he has been wandering around just living and trying to think of something to do with his life. As for how he winded up in this story, this town just happened to be the one he was in when all these events took place.
NOTE:Albert is not too good at fighting and will run away(which he is pretty good at) or try to talk his way out of it.

"Listen, boy," she hissed, "If you need my help that badly, then give me some time to deal with my own business first! I don't know why you came here, but I have a reason to be here. Before I even consider thinking about helping you clean up your mess, I must speak to Father Godric."

Her eyes shifted to one side as she entertained a thought. "If you let me take care of my business and help me with my mission here, I will help you clean up your mess. While I speak with Father Godric and get my wounds tended to, you can ask around and find if anyone knows the whereabouts of my younger sister, Sophia Hagia. I want to know if she is still alive or not and where she is in either case. My best clue is that she was sent away to a holy house, but I have nothing beyond that. Is this a deal?"

A jet of fire shot from his nostrils clearing a path through the rocks and junk that built up at the mouth of the cave for years. He Swiftly and silently flew along the ground kicking up dust. THe only sound heard was that of the small creatures that saw him and scurried off, he had no concern for them, he had bigger fish(or rather humans) to fry.

Name: Thorek Ironbrow
Age: 146
Race: Dwarf
Appearance: Long brown beard that's starting to turn grey that goes to his waist. Thick eyebrows and deep set amber eyes that seem to show a constant state of unease. Walks around casually with full chainmail (made by an elf, but he will never admit to it) a steel helmet, heavy leather gloves and boots, furthering the impression that he is never at rest.
Weapons: He mainly uses his trusted rune axe, or throwing axes if the occasion calls for it. But also, slung around Thorek's back is his own handmade rifle.

Thorek's Rifle: After fulfilling its main duty of slaying a dragon, Thorek dubbed his rifle "Wyrmbiter". It uses crude blackpowder and has a tremendoes kick to it. After it fires, it needs to be cleaned and more black powder must be packed in with another bullet, etc, before it can be fired agaon. This process takes at least a minute. The bullets are very large, 30 millimeters in diameter and 50mm in length, they taper like a normal bullet except they end in a semi-sharp tip. There is also another kind of bullet Thorek developed that are 65mm in length, and have a sharper tip. He calls these "Stingers", as they are very good at piercing through chainmail and platemail.

Background: Thorek was a blacksmith at his hometown of Karak-Kadrin. In his later years, he became fascinated with black powder. Engineers had used it for many years in cannons. Thorek wondered if it was possible to make a handheld weapon using black powder. Most dwarfs thought he'd blow himself up oneday, but he continued his research. After many failed models (some which left permanent reminders on Thorek of his failure) he finally developed a working rifle. He was still constantly mocked and laughed at, no one thought his weapon would have any use in battle when a sturdy axe could do the job quicker, easier, and with no risk of blowing one's face off. Thorek decided to prove himself by slaying the dragon in a nearby mountain that had killed many a unsuspecting dwarf. And he did, he killed the dragon, put its head in a bag, and brought it back to Karaz-Kadrin as proof. But when he returned, he found his city in ruins. A nearby Orc city had decided to make their final stand when Thorek was away. Previously, the dwarfs had fought them off without much of a problem, but the last time they attacked was around 20 years ago. The dwarfs guard was let down, and the orcs hit hard with an incredible amount of men. They even had some trolls, and catapults. The dwarfs made a worthy attempt, but the battle was fairly one-sided. If they would've been preprared, this would not have been the case. Everyone had been slaughtered, there were no survivors. Thorek went into an incredible rage. He cleaved every orc and goblin left pillaging in the city without ever getting a scratch on him. He has vowed to kill every last greenskin there is.

Edit: Oh, I just now read about the "no gun" rule. Well, don't worry, with all of it's limitations it isn't overly powerful or anything.

Weapons: None unless you consider quick wit and fast reflexes one.
Appereance: Black Hair to the shoulders and red eyes. About the last Inch of his hair is red (kind of like a dipped in blood look). And wears a black robe to hide his wings. His wings are black with red. Also he looks like he is agile. But he has two different forms his human one and the demon. He always is in the human form so as not to be killed on the spot.

Background:
Sirius used to belong to a demon clan but was forced out for his inability to use weaponry in a skilled manner and for his compassion for humans. So then he became a wanderer and was found by a Mage 2 years after hiding. The mage's name was Alonso and decided to treat Sirius as his own child. For he lost his son a few years before in a battle. Alonso started teaching Sirius magic and alchemy to make up for his lack of the ability to use weapons. Recently Sirius' teacher has died and he has became a wanderer again to search for ways to become stronger. Even thou Alonso has tried to help him Sirius is still unable to control his demon powers and can go berserk without any warning.

Audra was tended to by the holy sisters within the temple. Her injuries were cleaned and the gaping gashes were stitched closed. She would have to be mindful about fighting for a while, lest she reopened the wounds.

Her ripped red coat was donned again and she was escorted to the study of Father Godric. Once inside and seated, she explained her situation to him. The priest was thoughtful for a moment, and then shook his head. "I'm sorry, but I haven't heard of a Sophia Hagia. No one by that name has come by here and I have not heard of her name in any correspondences."

Audra bowed her head. "I see. Then I must continue on my journey. If you could, Father, would you send out word to your brethren that I am seeking my sister? I will stop at every temple of your order for news." She reached into her pocket and retrieved a few gold coins stashed there for just this purpose. "A donation for your generousity."

"I'll send word," the priest agreed as he accepted the coins.

"Thank you, Father." Audra stood and bowed to the priest.

Godric paused her departure with an uplifted hand. "If I may ask, where will you go next?"

"I will continue to follow where the road takes me."

"Will you be stopping in Cypress?"

"Likely." Audra was well familiar with the walled city of Cypress. That bustling trade hub was like her second home. When she returns to Cypress, she could consider one circular route complete and mark off a segment of the world as searched.

Once outside, she began to look for the catboy and hear what news he gathered.

Godenious, having fallen asleep on a stump, awoke with a start. His eyes sleepily opened, it had been the first quiet sleep he had in years. He checked his surroundings, he remembered a battle between a cat thing and some sort of female warrior.
After sitting there for about an hour his memories caught up with him and he had fallen asleep during the fight, he was fatigued heavily after his long journey. He thought about sitting up then searching for Audra and discover how her search was going.
It was at this point he rememberd his own journey. He was on a quest to restore his lost memories, so he could return on his original quest, whateer that could be.

Sirius was in the town of Cypress trying to trade for a new map since his was turned into a apple when he was praticing alchemy. No matter what he tried he could not get it turned back into a map. When he was walking around he noticed a peculiar man at a booth for magic. He decided that he should check it out since he had nothing to do. When he walked up to the man he said, "What kind of-" But soon was cut off by the man's question, "Where did you get that apple?" He was suprised by the question and asked, "Why? Does it look different?" The man than said, "Well it looks like you must've drawn a map on it. But when that apple spoils your map will be lost as well." Sirius just shrugged and said, "Well it was paper to begin with. But it seems I can't even do basic alchemy sometimes. Now I can only do the difficult tasks such as the forbidded arts." The old man grabbed Sirius by the arm and wispered, "You've learned the secrets of human alchemy?" Sirius looked away and responded, "Yes..but I don't want to live my life as a miracle worker. Plus no one would trust me to help them anyway." The man inquired, "Why is that you look like an honest boy." Sirius then snapped, "Never mind that and just be quiet about it." The man was astonished by Sirius's change of mood but decided that this situation should be left alone. Sirius started to walk away looking for an Inn knowing that now he could not buy anything at that shop without being carefully watched. He walked around for awhile and found a booth that sold and traded maps. By then it was getting darker and he rented a room at an inn.

Lanser gave up on asking around, everyone just hits him. he went back to the temple, and met up with audra. "i found out squat! everyone just hits me!" said lanser, rubbing his head. he then saw Godenious was awake. "hey, you okay? did you have another one of you vision thingys?"

Thorek sat at the bar of an inn in the town of Cypress. He downed his mug of beer in one large gulp and promptly asked for another. Maybe he could get a small group together for some greenskin hunting, but what he needed was a solid army, preferably of Dwarfs. Although the last thing he wanted to do right now was talk to people. He had just gotten back from slaughtering a small town (if you could call it that) of greenskins and was rather tired. He finished his second mug and ordered a third.

Sirius walked down the stairs and saw Thorek. He looked a little disgusted and continued to one of the seats a few chairs away from Thorek. A bartender asked him if he wanted a drink but he shook his head and said, "I actually find alcohol quite repulsive. The bartender gave him a weird look and walked away. Sirius then put his elbows on the table and sighed.

Audra listened to Lanser's report, and then sighed. Not that she was expecting him to find anything, but it was still disheartening. "Thank you," she said to him as she surveyed the street. There was still much to clean up and her aching flesh was not looking forward to it. All she wanted now was a long nap in an inn or a trip to a hot spring. But a deal was a deal. Hefting the long spear over her shoulder, she moved to examine the nearest battle damaged building.

"Can we get this done by tonight?" she asked the catboy. "I have a long trip ahead of me." Her next goal was to return to Cypress and check with her contacts there for any news. Somehow, she felt that they wouldn't have any regarding Sophia, but there was always hope. Some sighting, some word, anything that could point her in the right direction.

Lanser looked ath the damage, and said, "were going to need some of my old clans help." lanser let out a hiss, and some cat demons came out of the forest. he mewed some, and they nodded, and started to help fix up the place.

Thorek looked over and watched a strange looking person sit down. He couldn't tell exactly what he was, his skin wasn't green, but he certainly wasn't human. He looked kind of evil though, he had beady little red eyes just like goblins. Maybe he was a friend of the Orcs and Goblins...Yeah, he definitely couldn't be trusted, let alone recruited to fight along side with. Thorek looked back at his mug, but kept the suspicious figure in the corner of his vision.

Sirius looked down at the apple with the map on it and sighed. He than said, "So this is what happens when you use alchemy on your map..." Sirius then put his head down on the table and covered his face with his arms.

Audra gaped for a moment at the cat demons busily fixing the neighborhood. Facepalming, she asked Lanser through gritted teeth, "If you needed help, why didn't you ask them before?"

She could feel the muscle under her right eye start to spasm. Yes, tonight was going be spent well with a bed and a bottle. Change that to part of a bottle; she will need to get up early in the morning.

"there going to hurt me badly after they help out. while they help fix up this place, we can head to a safe place i know of. its cypress. good place to hide, full of info, and i know some people there." said lanser, and he looked in the direction of the place. "if we hurry, we can go before my old clan finishes here."

Audra decided against asking about why his family would hurt him after helping him. Maybe such relationships were normal for his kind... That would explain much about him to her.

"Cypress, hm?" She could feel the ghost of a grin prick her lips. "I am well acquainted with that city. I have a house there in the fourth ring." She was referring to the rings of walls that defined the city's districts. Like a tree, when the city grew, a new ring was added to defend the expansion. Five complete rings in total rippled out from the city center. Beyond that fifth lay a slum that was exposed to the forces of the outer world. The closer to the center of the city one ventured, the more affluent the people and buildings became.

She mused over the thought of leaving the catboy to the wrath of his kin, but she already had an intention of going back to Cypress. "Might as well save my money," she remarked. No bottle or bed for her tonight. With spear against her shoulder, she began walking down the road that would lead her out of town and towards Cypress.

Lanser grabbed her arm. "your not walking. the wounds i gave you would hurt too much. i'm getting you there my way." said lanser,and he picked her up. "Plus, we can save time, and get to a place to stay there." said lanser, and he started to run towards cypress. one of the clan spotted him, and ran after them.

Audra made a most girly yelp and then swung a most ungirly punch at the catboy with her good arm. "Put me down!" she ordered. "Walking will not hurt me!"

((I have no idea how tall or built Lanser is, but I keep seeing him as lean and shorter than the 6 ft. Audra. Which makes the mental image of Lanser running around carrying her kinda funny.))

lanser took the punch, and then shifted her, so that she was slung over his shoulder. "you want sleep? if so, shut up!" said lanser. and he continued to run. meanwhile, the one cat demon that was following them, had caught up, and started to try to claw at audra.

Audra awkwardly tried to maneuver her spear so she could poke at the cat demon. Somehow, this all seemed surreal, as if she were in some bizarre nightmare. Her aim was horrible as she bounced against the catboy's back in time with his step. As a Lancer, she long ago learned the necessity of binding her chest, but the damage her back had taken during the fight weakened the binding, making the situation even more uncomfortable.

Thoroughly annoyed at the situation, Audra shouted, "Put me down so I can skewer this thing properly!"

Guardian watched over the situation from a safe distance, he chucked quitely as he saw the girl's funny attempts to try and hit the demon that were pursueing lanser and her.
As he watched, he senses the presence of more demons nearby.
'So much evil in this world, so much corruption... I must know what has happened during my imprisonment...'
Then he continued to follow lanser's trail.

((sry i couldnt write for a long time. Had major exams for the last 3 weeks. I'll try and write bit more now.))

Lanser said, " what think are you talking about? and, you shifting around is getting annoying!" the cat demon had swiped at lanser's back, and hit him, causing lanser and audra to fly into a tree. lanser rubbed his head, and felthis back.

Guardian decided to help out Lanser.
He approached in front of the cat demon, with his sword in his hands.
"What business do you have with that demon?" Guardain said to the cat demon very calmly, also pointing at Lanser.
"If you have no real reason, leave this place now."
He had his sword pointing towards the cat demon, as in a duel stance.

the cat demon growled, and spoke in a human tounge, "he knows what. everytime we help a half demon, we hurt the half demon. he knew that, and asked for help. so, i will hurt him, depending on hhow much pain i would like to inflict!" then, the cat demon jumped over guardian,and landed on lanser, pinning him down.

"I don't get your concept of helping and receiving, so I wont count that as a goods reason."
He calmly grabbed the cat demon's throat with one hand and lifted him up with ease, just apply more pressure and its neck will break for sure.
"Last warning, begone or prepare to be banished."

the cat demon snarled, and started slasing at the guardian. he then let out a loud hiss, and the sound of more incomming cat demons were heard. lanser pulled himself into a sitting position. "hey, get out of here. there are more comming." said lanser.

"Do not worry young one. I have fought armies of great demons and evil creatures back in my days. Lets just hope that my skills havent rusted. I'll keep them busy, get the girl and get out of here."
Guardian grabbed the cat demons head and crushed it into a red pulp. He readied himslef into a battle stance, his sword at his right hand and the head of the catdemon at the other.
He shouted his battle cry, which he hasnt done for a long long time
"I am the Guardian! The captain of justice and good! Let all evil creatures tremble before my wrath!!!"
His voice rang out throughout the whole area, he waited for the demons to come.
"What are you waiting for Lanser? Get out of here!"

lanser tried to get up, but to no avail. "i can't. its too painful, even for me....." said lanser. then, a cat demon grabbed his arm in its mouth,and another grabbed the back of audra's collor with its mouth.

Guardian quickly punched a whole through one of the cat demons with his fists.
He couldnt use his sword since its aura will surely harm Lanser as well...
He saw the two demons grabbing the girl and Lanser.
"Oh no you dont!"
He stretched his hands and the two demons and lanser were trapped in three separate prisons of light.
"Sorry, Lanser. Only way to keep you safe. Now for these two, exorcism!"
With those words, the two cells holding the two demons shone brilliantly, burning the demons inside them.
"Now who's next?"
Some of the demons saw this and fled, but still many remained.

soon, a giant cat demon appeared over the treetops. lanser growled, and banged on the side of the prisim. "thats my dad! don't kill him! I want to kill him!" said lanser, and a cat demon headbutted the thing lanser was in.

"Your father? You have a very weird family boy, a father wanting to kill a son and all that. Well, I did kill my cousin a long time ago, but thats me. Plus you aint in any condition to fight. Just rest in your cage."
Guardian crushed more demons with his hands and then looked at the giant cat demon.
"I guess I can lock him up, but the spell will take a minute to complete. Since he's bit powerful and all that. Or I can beat him to an inch of his death..."

lanser banged again. "just get us away from here! he is my kill! he killed my mom!" said lanser!

"If that's what you want..."
He put the girl in the cell that Lanser was in. Then he kicked the cage, hurtling it a quite long distance away from here.
He turned to the cat demons, then said
"Now I can use my sword. Prepared to be exorcised evil beings..."

the cage landed in cypress, the place they were going to. the cage broke, and lanser carried audra to an inn, and rented a room with two beds. he put audra on one, and layed on another. it would take some rest for his wounds to heal. they were in the third ring of the city. he knew some people here. he soon drifted off to sleep.

Guardian killed many demons so far, many fled, only some remained. But the big one was missing, no doubt that it went after Lanser.
He put his sword back into its case and looked around. There were just piles of dead demons littered everywhere.
As he looked at the remaining demons, they began to flee, then he grabbed one by the throat.
"Where did the big cat go?"
"I dunno, probably where the half demon wen..."
He tightened his grip "I know that, tell me where!"
"Towards that direction..."
He loosed his grip and put the demon down.
"Good, I wont be so mercyful to you and your pals if they come accross me again."
He then began to follow the big cat's trail

lanser woke up with a start. he heard footsteps. he sat up. his wounds had started closing, and were well on their way. he took his crystal, annd casted a healing spell. he looked outside, and saw his father. lanser's father went to one wall, and knocked it over, making it to the fourth ring of the city. he sniffed the air, and roared. "aw, crud......" said lanser.

Guadian followed the big cat into the area. However a number of demons leapt in front of him and stopped his path.
"Move or I'll be forced to destroy you."
"How can a single person hold out against 7 demons?"
Then they began to laugh.
Guardian grabbed two of the demons and crushed them in his hands, then he pucnhed another one's head into a pulp.

lanser's father went to the third wall, and sniffed again. he smiled, and said in human tounge, "LANSER! I KNOW YOUR HERE! SOON, YOU WILL BE WITH YOUR MOTHER!" then, he knocked over the wall, and made his way to the inn. lanser had grabbed audra, and started to run to the second wall.

Guardian finished the pestering demons off. His fighting wasnt as good as back in the wars but it was still good enough.
He saw Lanser's dad and ran up behind him. He than tapped him in the back
"Pardon me sir, but you do realize that knocking down walls is not legal?"

lansers dad looked at him,adn grabbed his hsirt, and threw him into the remains of the stone wall. "what i do is none of your business. now, excuse me, i have family matters to attend to." said lanser's dad, and he started to run after lanser, who made it past the second wall.

Guardian stood up, dusted himself and watched him walk past.
"That was very rude as well. You'll need some manners if you dont want to end up like your men."
He then pointed to the 7 dead demons just outised the inn.

lanser's father said, "they are nothing. now, get away, pesky being." he said, and made it to the wall, and started to break down the wall.

"Pesky being? You've no idea demon. I'd normally fight you, but I think it'll be a waste of time and energy."
Guardian taunted the big cat, hoping that it'll draw his attention to him.

lanser father just ignored him, and broke through the wall,andhe walked to where lanser was, with his wepon. "lanser, you have your mothers toy wepon. how cute." he said, and his claws glowed purple.

Guardian looked at lanser's dad.
"Yeah, walkaway you lil kitty. You may be big, but your still a lil kitty arent ya? You do look kinda like a cute kitty in a way... actually you do look like a cute kitty very much!"
Then guardian chucked quitely.

lansers father clawsed at the ground under Guardian, and it started to turn purple. lanser ran to him, and pulled him onto a building. "watch out. thats my dads poison. it will melt anything it touches." said lanser, and he looked at his father. his dad then growled, adn jumped to the top of the building.

"Poison? Do you have eyes demon? Both of you must be blind. Beneath my armor, there is nothing! I've no flesh! It may be able to damage me, but I dont feel pain. So gimme your best shot kitty!"
Guardian spread his arms wide and waited for Lanser's dad to attack.

Lanser went infront of guardian, and said, "i told you before, this is between him and me." said lanser, and he jumped at his father, and his father paw pushed him to the floor, and his claws glowed purple.

"Very well. Anyway, so your Lanser's father huh? Why do you want to kill your son? And Lanser, whats your reason for wanting to kill your dad?"
He asked the two.

Lanser's father said, "he is a half demon, and does not deserve to live." lanser said, "he killed my mother! and, ate part of her!"

"okay...Very strange father and son relationship indeed. Well I killed my cousins for being demons, and I dont think they cared, didnt have time to ask them. Plus ages ago, seriously ages ago, I ate more than a whole city population of humans in one massacre and I betrayed my race. So MY situation is much worse than both of your combined so you guys really should stop trying to godamn kill each other!!!"
Guaridan sat down on a chair, even though it was too small for him, and waited for their reply.

Lanser's father said, "mind your own business!" lanser said, "do we need your help?"

"I was just stating my opinion, contine to kill youselfs and such and such. But will it actually solve anything?"
Guardian kept asking these questions because these two were an amusing and entertaning pair.

they both said at once, "YES!!!!!" they looked at each other, and then growled.

"Okay, continue. But may you mind that whilst you guys are fighting, and if you die, what'll it achieve?"
Guardian chuckled to himself, the pair were certenly very entertaning. More of the silly question and remarks would get even more funny reactions from tehm.

lanser's dad grabbed lanser,and threw him at guardian, and said, "Well, now killing you both will make me happy."

Guardian caught Lanser and put him down.
"Well talking aint gonna get you anywhere is it? You could;ve killed him if you werent listening to me and all that."
Guardian clenched his fists and readied himself.
"if its a fight you want, its a fight you gonna get"

lanser's dad growled a bit and tackled guardian. he chuckled, but then coughed up blood. lanser was on his back, with his wepon through his fathers heart.

"well done lanser. You gonna spare him or finish him? Up to you."
Guardian stood up and looked at lanser and waiting for his reply.

lanser pushed his wepon all the way through,and it came out the other side. he pulled it back out, and his father falls over, dead. lanser wipes off his wepon, and spits on his fathers dead body.

Guardia looked at lanser.
"You happy now? Did it actually help with anything?"
He looked at the dead body.

"yes. no my mom can rest in piece." said alsner, and he smiled a bit.

"very well, anyway a lot of demons will be angry about this, but some will be happy that a rival has fallen. We must move swiftly, they'll be on us like swarm of flies."
Guaridan began walking out of the town
"c'mon lets get out of here."

Sirius looked at Thorek and said, "What are you watching me for anyway?"

"wait! i got some people to talk to here. plus, the demons now know that i killed him, so they will stay away for now." said lanser.

"Not likely, back in my days, when a demon kills a boss demon of a clan or something, he has the rights to become the new boss or leader. But they dont want half bloods becoming leaders right? So they'll kill you to prevent from you becoming a leader and they'll kill you for the position of the leader."
Guardian said all of this calmly.

"dude, you killed my clan. there isn't anthing left to lead." said lanser.

"good point. Now lets look for these friends of yours. Anyway where that girl anyway? The one with the spear."

Thorek was on his fifth mug by now. He had been watching this whole ordeal and was now watching the guards and workers rush to the scene (through the rather large hole that was now in the side of the inn), looking quite surprised at the damage. A group of five guards rushed up to a man in a heavy suit of armor and a strange looking person that looked like a cat walking on two legs. "I don't know where the hell I've wandered to but there sure are some weird people here," Thorek thought to himself. Thorek looked over at the strange figure that spoke to him, "Look, I've got half a mind to bash your skull in right here you little goblin, so keep your mouth shut," he said.

((Holy crap... Audra became a sock puppet for a bunch of pages. I really don't like having to pull reactions to fit the conclusions, but what's done is done. Please, please, please avoid sock puppeting Player Characters in the future, 'kay?))

Audra started trying to fight off the cat demons the moment they got close enough to touch her. Unceremoniously flung into a cage and then booted to long distance to Cypress, she was knocked unconcious by the impact.

When she awoke, she was next to a stone wall. Getting up, she realized that she still had her spear in a death-grip in her hand. Switching the spear to the other hand and flexing the one that was stiff, she walked around and surveyed her surroundings. It took a few minutes to recognize where she was, but the ramparts of the walls carried the green and white banner of Cypress. Squinting, she tried to gauge which ring she was in. 'Third ring? Yes, I am in the third ring next to the second ring wall. How did I make it here?' The second ring was more affluent than the third and few ever ventured into the first ring without official business. She started walking across the broad third ring district. 'A little more upclass than my usual haunts, but I'm not going to complain.'

She found one the main streets that formed the east-west axis of the city and began walking down it towards the fourth ring. She dearly looked forward to resting in her own bed in her own house. The fourth ring wasn't the most upscale part of the city, but it was better than the still developing fifth and the outlaying slums. Perhaps she could pick up some red embroidery thread to repair her coat with on the way. Feeling a draft against her arm and back through the slashes was becoming annoying.

Sirius looked and Thorek insulted by his comment and said, "I'm no goblin. I'm a demon." He then threw his apple of a map at Thorek.

Lanser looked around, and saw Audra head towards the fourth ring of the city. "She's heading towards her house. we can visit my friend later, he can't leave this place anyways." said lanser,and he jumped down.

Audra passed under one of the porticulluses that pocked the wall, entering the fourth ring. She followed the main road for a short distance, and then turned down a side street. After a winding path of sidestreets and alleys, plus one stop to pick up some red thread, and she came to a narrow, timber-framed house crammed along a street full of other timber-framed houses. This particular house stood two stories tall and jutted out at the upper floor, like all of the other houses did. Audra paused for a moment in front of the red painted door. A moment of thought and she knocked. Was anybody home? She listened for the sounds of footsteps on the other side.

A portly, middle-aged woman answered the door. The lines around her eyes crinkled when she saw the tall, blonde woman. "Milady! I didn't know you were coming back so soon!"

"Neither did I," Audra answered as she walked inside. The door was shut behind her. "Rosemary, is my uncle home?"

"Afraid not. He left for Edelweiss a few days ago." The older woman peered at the damaged jacket. "What happened to you? Were you waylaid?"

"A duel with a catbrat." Audra set her spear to rest on a rack. Her uncle's own weapon was missing. "I would like a bath drawn and a change of clothes."

lanser had followed her scent, and stopped infront of the house, he sniffed the air, and smiled. he tucked his ears into his hair, and then put on his cloak and his hood. he knocked on the door, and waited paciently.

The apple struck Thorek's helm and splattered all over it. "Why you wretched little goblin! You won't get away with that!" Thorek yelled. He stood up and pulled out his large, two-handed iron hammer and took a tremendous downswing at the demon.

Sirius then laughed and said, "My my you have a short temper." He then jumped out of the way and said, "By the way...I'M NOT A GOBLIN!!! I'M A DEMON!!" He then took off the robe and said, "SEE WINGS!!! LOOK GOBLINS DON'T HAVE WINGS!" He then used Magic and then created a monster. Sirius then said, "You can wack that you mindless waste of skin!" He then put the robe back on and looked very disgruntled and almost like he was pouting.

(And yes he was wearing something under the robe weirdos :angry:)

Also, I don't know what your definition of alchemy is but last time I checked it was about changing the things around you (like pulling metal out of the ground to make a sword) and didn't include summoning monsters.))

Rosemary hastened down the stairs to answer the door. A man in a cloak and hood stood outside. "May I help you?" the stout woman asked him. She didn't recognize what she saw of the man and few strangers ever paid this particular residence a visit without a purpose.

Guardian watched Lanser go into the house. He decides to stay outside and keep a lookout for demons. He could sense many of their presence here.
'Some ancient demons could've sense my return, no doubtly they'd send their servants to finish me off whilst I'm still weak. Well its about time I met my 'old friends'...'

((I got the the concept of Guardian from the emperor's champion from warhammer 40k. He'll basically look like one but more medievally. His story and stuff I invented mostly. I got his name off the newspaper :pants_eh: ))

Lanser looked at the servent, and said, "tell her that a person called lanser wants to talk with her." lanser then sits on the floor.

The houseservant nodded and walked up the stairs. Inside the room where Lanser waited, there were a few wooden armchairs with cushions on them. To one end of the room, a small fireplace was cold. Over the mantle hung a red shield with a golden rampant lion in its center.

After a wait, Audra descended the stairway. Her traveling clothes were replaced with something more fitting for a woman of her station. A deep burgundy red gown with long sleeves was worn over a golden yellow underdress. Gold colored thread was embroidered into designs of knotwork lions and intertwining flowers along the hem of the red outer dress.

Pausing in front of the seated Lanser, Audra spoke. "You have information for me?"

"Yea. the name you told me, i remembered a friend had told me about her. says that she went into a temple, and was then offered a job by the temple, selling wepons. the friend lives here in cypress. but, he lives in the center part. so, i wanted to know if you wanted to go over, and talk to him?" asked lanser, standing up.

Processing the information, Audra's mind hit a speedbump. 'Sophia selling weapons? Sophia? Selling weapons at a temple?' Shaking that moment of confusion away, she mused over the rest of Lanser's words. If this informant was in the center of the city, then he had to be associated with the family that ruled Cypress in one form or another. No one entered the core of Cypress without official business. Not even Audra's uncle could walk in there without an invitation. So, according to Audra's reckoning, this friend was either a very influential person, a servant of said person, or a prisoner. Eyeing the catboy, she was putting her bets on prisoner.

Pursing her lips, she gave the offer consideration. "Will I need my spear?" She was still not in prime fighting shape and traveling with the catboy seemed to invite conflict. Besides, her current outfit, while suitable for civil business, was not her preferred battle gear. "Who exactly is your friend?"

"It never really hurts to carry a wepon, and my friend is........ like, a midle man messanger. you want information to get someplace, count on him. if you want to know of something, you can also call on him to know the information that he delivered." lanser looked at her. "so, you want to go?"

Audra could think of a few situations where carrying a weapon would be considered a Bad Thing and courtly affairs was one of them. "An information dealer," she paraphrased, "I assume he has a price for his services?"

She glanced to her spear, and then at her dress. Definitely not fighting garb and carrying such a large weapon would not be permitted in the core by a visitor such as herself, regardless. She opted for her utility knife and stashed it away in her purse. Grabbing a long brown cloak and wrapping it around her shoulders, she prepared to enter the higher class part of town.

Standing by the door, she looked to the catboy. "Shall we?" They could continue the conversation along the way. "Though, I am curious at how you will pass the checkpoints at the second and first wall gateways."

Lanser smiled. "We don't have to pay him. i helped save his life, so he is indebt to me. And, for the checkpoints, there is an underground path under the walls, so people could bypass the guards. but, it is only known by few people." said lanser, and he led her to the second wall, and pushed aside bushes by a tree, revealing a hole in the ground. "lady's first."

And then out of no where Thorek died. Sirius then walked away as if nothing happened.

Glaring at the hole in the ground, and then at her dress, Audra narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists. The glare swiveled to aim at Lanser. "If you're talking about the catacombs, then, yes, I know about the catacombs. If you're talking about the Empire-era sewers, then, yes, I know about the sewers. Either does not bode well for civil attire." Both situations also made spear use extremely difficult, so it was fortunate in that case that she left the long weapon behind.

Upon further thought, Audra found it strange that either the catacombs or the ancient sewers were accessible by a simple hole in the ground. Various groups had laid claim on those underground systems. Thief and smuggler networks constantly battled with law-keepers and holy orders over control of the passageways.

A passage known to few people accessible by a hole a child could fall through? She didn't like it, beyond the potential of ruining her garb. Fine cloth was expensive and new dresses took time to make. "How far down is this? I don't trust it. There has to be another way."

She had a feeling he would say no, so her mind was already churning for alternatives. The second wall was easy enough for her to breach. It was the core that would give her difficulty. That first wall was well guarded and invitation was difficult to obtain without proper contacts.

Wait...

"Does your friend have a favorite place to frequent outside of the core? A pub, a tavern, an eatery? Any place at all? If he never leaves the core, then I can only assume he is a prisoner. I can get us into the second ring, if need be, if you can keep quiet to the sentries and keep your hair and ears covered."

"The only time he goes out of the center, is if he has to deliver some info. and, its not that deep. it has some thiefs in there, but nothing that i can't protect your pretty self from." said lanser, smiling. "the thiefs around here fear half demons."

Raising a brow, Audra crossed her arms. "I'm sure the foxes fear cats," she remarked dryly. "Especially in the depths of their dens. Even half-demons can fall subject to their traps." Now her brow furrowed into a scowl. "I must assume then that we are seeing someone bound into servitude by the ruling family." She glanced up at the stone wall, a thick barrier designed to protect the settlement from the outside world. "Who exactly is your friend? What is his name?"

She looked around for any other opportunities or alternatives.
