I would recamend Wild Swans It's a book about a grandmother, mother, and daughter growing up in China. In Starts before WWII and ends a bit after Mao Zedong's death. It's really quite good, and I've learned alot about china from it

For any of you 40k lore nuts, I highly recommend Ciaphas Cain: Hero of the Imperium by Sandy Mitchell. I could hardly put it down.

Mkay, I've been thinking about reading the Discworld series. Which one do I start with?

I loved that one, I'm just waiting for the bookstore near me to get Cains Last Stand and I'll have all of the ciaphas Cain books. Another series I would recommended would be the Horus Heresy series. Really good reads and there are alot of them out there

Recently I got two old books for 99 cents each that looked pretty good.
Book one, The Wanderer, a novel by Henri Alain-Fornier. Book two, Travels in Arabia Deserta by Charles M. Doughty. The reason I got these two books is because that it really interested me when I read the back of them. Has anyone ever heard or read these books? If so, please tell me what you think.

Snow Falling on Cedars by David Gutterson. Something about this just blew my mind.

THE CONCEPT of LOVE

![]() I'd start with any of the ones on the far left and work your way through. For a first book, The Colour of Magic is fairly amusing. My first was actually Soul Music followed by Where's my Cow?, Night Watch and Thud! |
