Seriously people are fucking retarded...

"zomg the Mayan calendar ends at 2012, that liek must mean the world ends then because dem Mayans were some wize ass dudez who fucking knew everything EVEN THE FUTURE OMG!"

A calendar that goes from then all the way to 2012 is a long ass fucking calendar, now why don't some people just think, " Murh, like I bet they were going to make it longer later on but lol Mayan civilization obviously didnt last that long enough for that."

The Calendar system on my xbox360 only goes to 2025. Does this mean the world will end at 2025 and Microsoft knew it all along? Or did they just think that going all the way to 25 was fucking long enough!

Fucking RAAAGE!

Take out the text of that trailer and it'd be pretty neat.

Otherwise, meh. I might rent it for the special effects, though.

Did anyone else notice that the music for the trailer is from The Shining?

Bumping this due to the new clip from the movie.

This actually looks promising.

edit: I'm not saying it's going to be a good movie story wise, most of what's happening is highly illogical, but the effects are pretty awesome.

To bad most of the movie is going to be shitty movie logic and retarded effects.

Just show it happening ha-ha?

Also I get that, it has to happen this way so they can live and show the story... But does it just bug you how "perfectly" this destruction happens? The way everything falls apart perfectly behind them and they have perfect timing with every turn and dodge?

Like I know, movie logic, but I feel like it makes it so much harder to just enjoy the movie when all I can go is "Yeah right!"

Rules to follow when watching a disaster flick:

RULE ONE(most important): dont think, ever, if you think the movie wont be entertaining

RULE TWO: watch the special effects, the move costs what it costs for a reason.

RULE THREE:did you think? if you thought then you ruined the movie, the plot makes no sense and you are asking yourself how a hurricane makes subarctic temperatures because some water got warm, STOP IT

Or a man falls over the edge and everyone thinks he's dead—but it's okay because a single hand suddenly appears, clinging to the cliff? Or how about the plane that's trying to escape from an explosion and gets enveloped in smoke – only to come bursting out with impossible speed? What about the eleventh-hour miscalculation that results in the timer speeding up towards impending disaster? Then there's the grandpa with regrets, the 'ultimate sacrifice' guy, the wormy scientist who makes good, the noble daughter who outlives the father, the divorcee who falls back in love, the evil rich dude, the ethnic stereotype village, the holy man on the mountain, the beauty queen with the handbag dog, the dude with two day's pilot training who must repeatedly fly everyone to safety at street level, through a collapsing city? What about the obligatory heroic kid, or the water escape scene, the tacked-on happy Hollywood ending where it's all sunshine and laughing and nobody really feels too remiss about the death of 5.9 billion people?

And that's not even the half of it. Seriously. It goes on and on like this, piling on so much rehash that you will laugh. You can just sit there, switch off and let it wash over you like action-porn. In fact, perhaps that's exactly what 2012 is – the rebirth of action for the sake of action. To describe 2012 as the best 'rollercoaster-ride-with-a-story-attached' is about as much praise as we can muster for this production.
Yeah reviews are pretty horrible... Ha-ha.

That review sums up all of my expectations for this movie, meaning if I spend money to see it it will be my moneys worth.
